I love how my brain automatically answers questions, I myself pose, instantly:

Me: Why is Vinyl there?
Brain: Comms and Sonic Weaponry.
Me: Makes sense.

I wonder why Lyra is there?

Bipedal and hand expert, she's  also the only one that can use the cart, that they made for some reason, so that somepony could only sit in that position to use the controls... I sense a conspiracy.

Hands, bipedalism and carts......what could this all point to?

PonyKart, we haven't heard any progress from those people in ages.

Glad to see none of you are unduly freaking out over that post on EQD regarding a possible reason for the 13 episode season.

If there's one thing that annoy me about this fandom, it's that as a whole we tend to be a bunch of drama queens.

Well yeah, everypony losing their *buy some apples* every time someone says something negative about us on TV really isn't one of our fandom's more endearing traits.  When I hear bad news about MLP I just hide my disappointment.

Yeah some fans tend to jump to conclusions a lot and be pretty... Rabid. What they are doing makes sense from a business standpoint.

Part of it though may be EQD making things like this seem like a big deal at times when it really isn't. Also FiM/G4 WILL end eventually, just like any currently running show will, it's just that that time most likely isn't going to be at the end of season 3 like this piece of news has made people think. And if it does, the fanbase at large needs to prepare for that. I don't think they are yet and if they don't the end of FiM won't be pretty.

Sometimes I think people thinking bronies are big diaper-wearing whiners is partly justified just because of what has been pointed out above in Arc's post. :/

Over-reacting is common in the fandom, as is any fandom, go and find a Whovian [spelling?] and insult fezzes.

Psychology mumbo-jumbo-rant...wild-fire mob mentality...

Anyway, because of the My Little Websurfers, I have switched from Firefox to Opera, I love it.

It is interesting to see how fandom's start, develop and grow.  Through it is not really related to My Little Pony FIM and only tangentially related to what is discussed above this article below offers a perspective:

What features of Opera do you prefer compared to Firefox ?

Also My Little Websurfers is neat.

In my experience the web browser should match your computer as well as your personal preferences.

It runs faster than Firefox, and I get a feeling that I'm supposed to mess with the coding to make it better, and the New Tab page is much more customizable (some might laugh, but that is very important)

In Firefox when I type in about:config, I get told to get lost unless I know what I'm doing (paraphrase), in Opera, I'm given a menu and Torrent files... I mean, the O is perty on the desktop

I know what you mean about brony crybabies, but still, the "biting the hands that feeds us" is thrown around so much yet it's ironically used backwards: THE CONSUMER is the hand that feeds THEM, so they are hurting themselves AND us with this decision.

What makes you think they are hurting bronies and other teenage/ adult fans with this decision?
As a broader question how is the consumer hurt with this decision?

Clarification: You are talking about the possible reason that was covered recently in Equestria Daily for having 13 episodes instead of 26 for season 3 correct.

Yes I'm talking about that. Winding down the content of a show just as it peaked in popularity makes no sense for them, and hurts the fanbase because we have GIGANTIC intervals between seasons which now have 1/2  of the content. Seems pretty simple to me.

I switched from Firefox to Chrome myself 2 summers ago around the time Firefox started releasing a new version every week, each version crashing more often than the last.  I gave up when it started crashing about 6 times an hour. :P

How many times have I told you, Volus?  I don't accept CD Projekt Red's definition of maturity, and you shouldn't either.

I dunno, many of the other forumites do. They're like "it's not mature unless I see some bared breast" or some other nonsense like that.

I do see The Witcher 2 brought up way too many times on this site in regards to threads related to maturity in games, but anyway back to MLP.

The synopsis for season 3 episode 3 has possibly leaked. Oh, and we're doomed.

Spoilers- Pinkie becomes overwhelmed with the thought of having just one friend to spend time with so she clones herself multiple times.

Having read the article on season 3 on EQD, I have to remark two things. 1) What that representative said should've been written down WAY more clearly. It wasn't until the summary that I got what the hell he was talking about. Seriously, gibberish. 2) I don't understand why they've decided to limit season 3 to only 13 episodes either. MLP is only a recent phenomenom, it still has a lot of potential to increase its popularity. So why tone it down right now? Laziness for profit? Also, the fact that Hasbro is STILL blindly focusing on little girls as MLP's target base is just hilarious. Talk about a sloppy marketing audience research. So yeah, I can understand the frustration going around in the brony community much better now. If Hasbro thinks it can rely just on the sale of pink-coloured Celestia figurines, they clearly haven't done their homework.

Considering how it's been two years and there're STILL no show-accurate pony models without ****ty brush-me mane, I wouldn't be so surprised.

Well I don't follow the merchandise scene but from what I've seen popping up on EQD they have at the very least started official merch and (mostly) show accurate stuff plus brony tailored merchandise. Most of it is apparently being centred in Hot Topic. They are at least trying.

The reason isn't even bad. To sum it up, as a show becomes more successful and there's a pre-existing pool of already aired episodes, you don't have to create a ton of new stuff each season because fans will go back and watch the pre-existing material.

It makes sense and I'm perfectly fine with that. Anyone up in arms needs to relax.

Maybe more like "it's not mature if I see someone having a shower clothed".

Personally I don't think maturity has a lot to do with that anyway, in any case, looking for example at mods for The Elder Srolls series, the more boobs are visible the more immature it seems to me (not that I don't enjoy boobs, but those "armors" are ridicuolus). In the matter of armor desings I would say Dragon Age 2 is more mature than The Witcher 2.

I think I drifted a little, sorry.
