Clarification: You are talking about the possible reason that was covered recently in Equestria Daily for having 13 episodes instead of 26 for season 3 correct.  

Yes I'm talking about that. Winding down the content of a show just as it peaked in popularity makes no sense for them, and hurts the fanbase because we have GIGANTIC intervals between seasons which now have 1/2  of the content. Seems pretty simple to me.

I am not certain I agree but thank you for explaining.

Hasbro does not want to be associated with the adult fanbase. Between the cloppers and oversensitive pricks, mingling with them would be a PR nightmare.

Yeah, that's why it kind of freaks me out whenever bronies try publicity stunts like the bronycon documentary, the thank you project, and the travelling pony museum.  I mean, like ****ing seriously?  A travelling pony museum? Why don't they write "free candy" on their vehicle while they're at it? I really wish that some of these people would just shut up and enjoy the show without pulling off stunts like this to get attention, it would probably be better for the long term health of the program.
