Didn't mean any offense.  But it just seems like sometimes our "Love and Tolerance" doctrine discourages people from pointing it out when something that one of our own is planning seems like a bad idea.

Maybe the issue is more like one does not have to look hard to find numerous examples of your "love and tolerance" doctrine being at best a pathetic charade.

Problem is, noone really knows what it means.  The phrase has been used for everything from tolerating bronies from a a wide variety of backgrounds, to not feeding the trolls, to being euphemism for not bagging on people who like clopfics and R34 art.

Then what does it mean? 
To tolerate all and everything is to be the world's doormat, to be weak, to be passionate about nothing. To allow that which you know is destructive.
To tolerate selectively.. is that tolerance at all?
What then does it mean?

It means whatever the person preaching it wants it to mean, it's like the Bible or the Constitution.  It's vague enough that you can use it to justify just about anything you do or say in the context of pony, and call anyone who disagrees with you a traitor or a bigot.

I am not certain if this has been posted, but this topic reminds me of a editorial written for the round stable.
