I saw it. It's starting to get more of a Fantasy-Themed Cross-Perilous-Lands-To-Save-The-Empire Vibe. As far as Shining Armor's fans, that's likely due to the "Big Brother" effect, and less of badassery.

It's a relationship that likely won't fare as well as he's hoping. Especially during the younger adolescent years, it's very easy to confuse love with either fantasy of being with that special somepony, or just hormones kicking in. He needs a bit more time to do some emotional, mental, and psychology growing up before considering a romantic relationship with an anthropomorphic talking horse.
