That is one of the first pony comics I've seen that actually made me laugh.

So, Let's talk about Ponies.

I saw the episode. It's very difficult to compete with its previous 2-Parter episode of the Canterlot Wedding, but it's still a great 'Mini-Movie' regardless. While it may not be objectively mindblowing, the setting, as reiterated before, is a breath of fresh air from "just more equestria".

Some of the comedic bits during the meeting with Overly-Tired cadence felt ill-timed. As much as I enjoy humor, the whens/wheres/hows are critical in execution. Then there's the ones they nailed like the old "I just realized how to save the empire from certain destruction. Ooh, Funnel Cake." Pinkie Pie in a full jester outfit is pretty adorable.

So yeah, it was pretty great. It's still leap years more interesting than S1's first couple episodes, and I hope to see them bringing more of the good stuff.

A Canterlot Wedding still goes undefeated. 11 episodes left to see if that changes.

Okay, so it seems evident to me that Crystal Ponies are sort of a nationality, rather than a separate race a la pegasi and unicorns and terrans. In other words, the difference is more like Americans and Brits. At least, that's my guess right now. Maybe something will become apparent later on.

Moving on.

Yeah.. Only real difference is the crystal in thier eyes, manes, and the fact thier bodies seem to act like mood rings :innocent: . Other then that they are really just earth ponies.

I don't even think of them as a nationality. They kinda just "are".

Which is essentially due to the pacing of the 2-Parter. With most of Canterlot Wedding, the only one who doesn't have time to kill is Twilight due to her suspicions of "Cadence". The Crystal Empire has a clock ticking the entire time. essentially based on our real Cadence. Any info they gathered would've been directly connected to finding the heart stone, and little else.

Succintly put, we don't know a whole lot.

Well, the villain was kind of lame. And ... really did nothing.

Other than that, it had a good run at ending A Canterlot Wedding's stint in the top slot, but failed to seal the deal.

Also - yeah, Luke is right. They're planning on something big for Twilight this season.

The issue with that is, despite the proper exposition, is that he's barely seen besides cackling outside a shield. The motive isn't particularly intriguing or is worth any sort of empathy. A good start, but not the best execution.

Gak is a strange compound that children supposedly find amusing because it is easily streched, "gooey", and has options to be photo-luminecent, in a wide range of colors.

Many currently find it amusing because in the airing, and the stream, a break aired 4 consecutive Gak comercials, 2 being the same commercial; many other commercials featuring Gak were shown.
