They should have only shown Sombra's face at the end, when he extends his powers to the max to get the Crystal Heart and the shadows disappear. This way, he'd have looked much more menacing without detracting from the REAL focus (Twi!), since putting his face in a giant cloud of smoke makes us focus on the face that happens to be among that smoke.
Not putting his face in those scenes would have better passed the message that *ALL* of the smoke and black crystals are Sombra. Much more menacing.

This song is pure genius. I know this because I like it, and it's basically consisted of... well, that ^^^^.
Damn Ingram, I don't know where you live or how I'd get there, but if that song's just another "Equestria Girls" ad-only thing I swear I'll find you, and kill you.
...ok, I'd just retrieve the full song file from his computer.

Keeping King Sombra's face undefined until the end of the episode could make him more menacing, through Celesta's exposition to Twilight about the Crystal empire and King Sombra would have to be altered in order to hide his face. Would it be a good idea to only give a silhouette of King Sombra in Celesta's explanation or would keeping his appearance undefined be a better idea?
Note: My apologies about the uneven spacing in my original reply.

I think a silhouette would have been enough. As long as it didn't show any detail.

Also, someone needs to tell Celestia about Powerpoint presentations, it's not necessary to make your students **** themselves each time you give them their history lessons.
Edit: Hey! That is the first time the BSN censores something I post. Feels nice:lol:.

I think I prefer that to the usual "talking head syndrome" history lesson.

I hope we get to see dark magic at some point, but possibly it will be from Trixie, dark magic has a much better graphic.
EDIT: Anything on that site even remotely related to the brony fandom is hilarious, I'm reading the one saying Obama is a "bronie"

That's what makes it so awesome did you see the skyrim jobs one? xD
Also it would be interesting to see where the dark magic thing might go, i was not aware that ponies had dark magic until now. Even back with nightmare moon i don't remember her using the corrupted magic, i think this was the first time.

You know, I've been reading a book on the Mormons lately. If there's a religion that's going to survive the end of the world, it's probably going to be them.

Why wouldn't they? Utah was practically a fallout-style wasteland before the bombs fell, and that didn't stop them from settling there.TheBlackBaron wrote...
