Well, to be fair, the chantry hates everything.

I'm glad you like it.

A pony origin for Dragon Age III: Inquisition would be amusing, also interesting picture. Thanks for sharing.

Edit: Each spelling/ typing error I make fills me with shame.

You're welcome, doing this stuff is only half the fun if it isn't shared.

About the chantry hating the Maker (yes, I saw it before your edit, hehe), they may not say so but they seem to be interested in covering anything the Maker says just in case it is a threat to their power, maybe it is more fear than hatred but the Maker could be the Chantry's worst enemy in a way.

HEY YOU GUISE

Recently sis has let it slip to my cousin (as in, the cousin I get along most to) that she's a brony, then he comes over facebook chat... here's what has been spoken so far (my portuguese-english translation, I'm "L"):

Meanwhile at Facebook...

J- WHAT DO YOU MEAN
YOUR SISTER
IS A BRONY?

L- and?

J- man, how can a non-child person like this

L- I watch Adventure Time once in a while...

J- but you're not a fanboy

L- brony is used just for fanboys?
I thought it was a general term

J- brony is for mlp fanboys

Any suggestions? =)

I don't know Lukeskymac, you could tell him you are a brony so you know more about it than he does... but it might be more fun if you can see his face.

Hypothetical question given the thread has moved to Dragon age:
Pinkie Pie and Sten(yes the one from DAO) walk into a bar. What would they say to one another( If anything)?

Pinkie: So you are a "Sten", that sounds fun!

Sten: No.

Yes, well, I wanted to poke around feigning ignorance on the matter, but I'm out of ideas. I don't want to just come out and say "So what, I'm a brony too, and this is why it's fine:" because:

- After "I'm a brony too" he will immediately appy a -100 credibility filter over anything I say
- I'll be missing so much potential FUN!

Sweet things would be brought up. Like cake. You'ld never see Sten talk so much.

Yes, I imagined that. I just can't think of anything, sorry.

If it helps I have been sending one of my friends ponified versions of anything he mentions, if I can find it in the internet, before telling him I'm a brony.

Maybe send him liks to definitions of "brony", if possible with pictures... oh a and that "Manliest brony in the world" video!

Edit: Maybe this helps?

Not all adult/ teenage fans who watch the show consider themselves to be bronies. Perhaps you could approach the subject from that perspective. For example you mentioned watching Adventure Time above. Looking at the conversation  you gave us below:

You could start by noting that there are people who consider themselves to be casual fans of FIM rather than fanboys for example.

Note: I am sorry if my reply came too late.

My "general term" comment was a subtle attempt at implying that.

Also, don't worry about timing at all =)

Yes, but if the above chat is correct then he associates bronies with fanboys.I was trying to point out that there are fans of FIM who do not consider themselves to be bronies regardless of the definition given below by the urban dictionary:
Definition: The term used to describe the fan community(usually of the older
group, males and females) of the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

The term was coined on 4chan's /co/ board.

It is the plural form of 'Brony'

Link:www.urbandictionary.com/define.php

Note that there are other definitions as well in the link that he may find interesting. Through ignore definitions from 5 to 7.

Edit:To summarize I do not think the word brony and it's plural form bronies means an older fan that is obsessed with My LittlePony:FIM.Given that you posted that you would not want to come out and say you are a brony too I was only suggesting that you could start by mentioning that not all fans associate themselves with the fan name brony and for example you could use that to gradually move the conversion where you want it to go.Sorry if that did not seem clear from my initial post.I hope your chat with your cousin goes well.

Well, there are varying degrees of fandom. Some just want to watch the episode for a few chuckles, and do it on a consistent enough basis to be considered fans. Some live and breathe the series on a daily basis, and some fall somewhere in the middle. Brony does not necessarily mean they're spazzing over the show. It just means he/she is a fan.

Am1_vf, thank you for the inspiration. You get the credit for this  one! Here is my much loved Grey Warden as a pony. She was my canon warden, and first playthrough. Human mage origin. Sacrificed herself for the good of all.

I probably should have included in my post that I don't associate the term brony with 'spazzing over the show'. My apologies if my previous post seemed to imply this, however I would point out that regardless of the truth of the sentiment his cousin does seem to imply that he thinks this is the case. I was therefore noting that perhaps a place to start the conversation was by pointing out that the term brony is not accepted by everyone as the definition of an older fan of FIM. It is the most widely accepted.

ProfessionalPirate: I like it.

:OThank you so much for this! You really couldn't have done anything to make me feel happier right now. I'm downloading this, if you dont mind, and keeping it with mine.

btw: My favorite warden, Andrei Cousland, sacrificed himself in the end too, it seems like they would get along well. I posted a bit of a bio here if you want to have a look.

Feel free to download it! I used the pony creator by generalzoi. Lol, they definately would have had an interesting relationship, and would get along well for the most part, Rhia was quite the spitfire though. (literally too) Got scared when some robbers broke into her home one morning and accidentally burned her home down, along with half the village. She was nearly killed right there, but a kindspirited Templar risked his own life to get her to the tower because he knew she was too young to realize what she had done.

She always stood up for what was right, even if it was the hardest path, she regretted that Jowan was a blood mage, but she didn't regret that she'd helped a friend in need. And spat it right in Gregor's face too, cause she was pretty ticked off that he wouldn't even consider her side of the story. Left with Duncan, adn the rest was history.B)

Thanks for the compiment Tower!

The reason I edited the comment was I did not want the My Little Pony:FIM thread to move off-topic by discussing Dragon Age. I was also rather embarrassed by the comment.

On a similar note I also read your bio for Andrei Cousland, I hope you don't mind .
Thoughts: Andrei has a glorious mustache.

No kidding. A VERY safe distance. With binoculars a spyglass.
Pony Wardens unite!

Edit: Good point about not moving too far off topic. Could be worse though, could be no ponies and all Dragon age.

:pinched:I hope you don't mind too much that I answered to it, I just felt like it. In the end the thread kind of deviated anyway .

Of course anyone can read Andrei's bio, that is what it was posted for. I'm glad you approve of the mustache.

So, ponies. I would have prefered if Pinkie's clones were real copies with the same memories and motivations, but it would have been much harder to fix.
