i need ponies to be happy now, anywho Happy T-day Everybody, at least all of us americans who are celebrating and any non-American who still celebrates T-Day, I've always been a bit sketchy on just who exactly celebrates the glorious feast of turkey and other bits on today especially with canada not celebrating it at the same time or the same necessarily in the same exact way. Technically I COULD buy it, but it would have to be in the USA or Hong Kong.

Americans sure do like to complain about taxes, but here in Brazil the same rMBP you buy for $2200 sells for $5000. I'm not kidding.

I wouldn't mind having Sweden-level taxes if we had Sweden-level welfare standards... even though even Sweden doesn't get as expensive as THIS for imports and etc.

Since I'm already complaining about buying stuff IRL, I would like to reiterate how disappointed I am that Hasbro doesn't sell 100% show-accurate solid (as in, no horrible brushable manes) collectibles, even if it's just the Mane 6, and even if that means they are sold at a premium.

I'm glad to hear that season 3 will be focusing on the mane cast a bit more. I was disappointed at season 2 in that regard. Even though it probably has my fave ep, Lesson Zero. 'Twas a fanservice ep done well tbh.

Glancing over at the episode lists of both seasons, I'm going to say they chose a path of Quality over Quantity. Something that they take greater steps in for season 2 is character development. The Mane 6 at the beginning of season 1 are roughly the same as they are in season 2. Now let's take a look at season 2.

After the events of Lesson Zero, doesn't it seem like she's a bit flakier than usual during more stressful situations, a la the "Just a Test" bit in The Crystal Empire? Or the talking sandwich bit at the beginning of The Canterlot Wedding?

After the events of Putting Your Hoof Down, Fluttershy's personality is a bit more 2-sided, which is also done as a comedic bit in The Crystal Empire.

Finally with the Reading Rainbow episode, while it's not a huge change in personal motivations and desires, they do give nods to RB's new bookworminess. I suppose my point is that they may have been trying to find a better balance of Character-Focused Episodes, Lore-Focused Episodes, etc. Whether that works well or not is subjective, but I personally favored Season 2's style. We'll see how 3 plays out.
