Rome was by far my favorite of the series. I'm hoping Rome II can live up to that. I'm a bit concerned because Medieval II and Empire weren't all that well polished.

Rome was the best period in Total War, period, and the best thing about it is, they are finally going to add depth to the campaign. As in, empire managing won't limit itself to just making money and training troops, with a random public order building thrown in if the province sits at the edges of your borders.
Oh, the graphics are pretty nice too.

Rome 2 looks awesome. I liked medieval 2 a lot, but I think that's because I added a very substantial mod to improve it, and expand on the game massively. Stainless steel.

try it with darth mod installed is what i suggest for better AI, They somehow managed to out wit me i think it's because i over extendedReconTeam wrote...
