Yeah, we'll see. I don't actually care about Twi becoming an alicorn that much (I'm fine either way), I just care about what I think matters most, that being the execution of the actual episode and not getting in a fit over what it's going to be about before its even aired.

I don't like it because it makes it so its Twilight and the Mane Five.

Oh this fandom is far from perfect, but I don't think it will ever reach Sonic fandom levels. Take out the b****iness and jerkiness which tbh is synonymous with ANY fanbase and really it isn't that bad, what with all the charity drives and how ridiculously creative the fanbase is as a whole.

So. The synopsis for the finale was revealed.

Magical Mystery Cure (Beatles reference?)
"Twilight casts a spell that switches the Cutie Marks and destinies, the only way to reverse the spell is by writing her own magic."

All of a sudden no one is flipping tables all over the place anymore. How does this tie into a coronation and AliTwi? Perhaps the setting is the royal coronation of Cadance as the official ruler of the Crystal Empire. Twilight casts the spell, switches her abilities/destiny with Cadance (or the other two alicorns since they'd most likely be there too) and poof, AliTwi. Using her new powers, she creates/invents/writes up a new spell that reverses the whole process. And also I've been eager to see how they'd pull off something like a body swapping episode for a while now, those ones tend to generate lulz.

EDIT Turns out the whole coronation malarkey is just a kids contest the Hub will be running, and apparently not related to an episode.

Superb episode. It was a bit more laid back than what I was expecting, but they did well on the writing. 8.7 out of 10 for me. A very important lesson to be learned from this episode. This, Magic Duel, and Sleepless in Ponyville are my top 3 picks of this current season.
