but even I'm a bit surprised they are doing it *now*. I'm actually more worried this is going to be a series finale than whatever they are going to do with Twilight. I'd even not mind if they change the setting, characters, or just excluding Twi and letting the series continue as it is even though she'll always be Best Pony.

I mean, 13 episode season, big big changes in the finale, EQD writing "FiM finale" instead of season finale...

We know theres gonna be a season 4... And Ive been told that this is the beginning for a different direction the series will be taking.. Apparently it will be more of an adventure theme instead...

I liked slice of life though...

Problem with slice of life is that there's only so much you can do with it before it starts being all the same.

I hope S4 has actual story arcs and Hasbro gives the team a bit more freedom. I've marathon-ed Adventure Time this week, so now I have another great show to watch that'll also cover the holes between Pony and Korra's seasons (Season 2 coming in April baby, yeah!), and even though there're plenty random isolated adventures with jokes of varied quality, I can safely say that the last two episodes of season 4 and the beggining of season 5 all made me, as a FiM fan, jealous of the amount of complex world-building and character development. How can a 11 minute episode give me so many feels? ("I remember you").

In the beggining the sheer randomness and the grittier, gross-er universe turned me off, and the seasons have their ups and downs just like FiM, but it's a damn good show and I'm glad I did my marathon.
