They are later going to do another spinoff which will essentially be the pony version of Sailor Moon. :sick:

Why do we see this new IP as going to last as long as Gen 2?

For once, we agree with Volus and Recon, this is not required.
We won't be watching it unless it is said to be just as good.

However, that movie may peek our interest, that will be monitored.

And I relapsed into using plurals for myself.

Yo, check this out, there's a clip of Equestria games with a flashback of Rainbow Dash as a filly riding on the back of a rainbow maned stallion.  Who could this be?  Father? Older brother?

My inner pessimist wants to believe that this new Pony show will consist of:

Speed talking, overuse of the word "like," and offhand jokes about periods.

God save us all.

I mean, it sounds like they are aiming at the late high school/early college girls, and, well, yeah.

Don't matter, they're secretly aiming for the cloppers. May God have mercy on your souls.

That doesn't normally happen, you may want to see a doctor.

I have to agree with Volus on this one. There's no reason to mix humans with ponies. None at all.

I didn't watch the previous gens (bless my brain), but based on videos about them from Saberspark and CR!, it's very obvious Megan was an empty self-insert for girls, and an excuse for ponies to behave more like intelligent equine pets than anything else.

Yeah, they may say "teenage and older", but it seems much more likely it's just "teens and brainless young adults with teen mantalities"

You know they exist.

[Soulless Entrepreneur] If I were making a product targeted at women, I would target late highschool/college over middle school. Some reasons include

1.) The intended consumer would be more likely be buying direct, and I wouldn't have to worry as much about appeasing parents,

2.) There is a larger array of products I could create that could sell in considerable quantities,

3.) College freshmen are more often than not stupid as hell with money,

and

4.) I could sell at a larger margin because of #3 and #1.

If I could get product(s) going to that profile, I'd make more $$. [/Soulless Entrepreneur]

Adult Swim ususally claims to target an adult audience, but my interest peaked in middleschool and by the time I was halfway through highschool I had stopped watching.  Sorta had a "Joe Camel" thing going on. Hasbro may be claiming to target teenaged girls and older, but frankly I think that the number of girls that age willing to watch a cartoon about talking horses would be too limited for them to turn a profit if they alone watched.

Volus, that scares me, a lot of those reasons are similar to the reasons the previous Gens were created.
1) Children would want anything to do with their favorite character (Pinkie Pie hat, bookbag, folders, notebooks, anything)

2) Parents are more willing to by toys for their whining little child than tell them no.

I'm just glad Faust got a hold of it to save it from becoming another cartoon that would make me smash my head into the growing crater in my wall

Anyone think future seasons will feature an episode involving an Equestrian regime change?

No

They never go into detail about government.
