I say the game and team brought it on itself TBH.

Didn't they sign up for some kind of huge ass competition against other games? I mean, regardless of what we think, the game did break the law. It's a stupid law, it's a law that should be abolished, it's a law that companies abuse, but it's still a law, and hasbro has been known to use it.

Anyway, back on point. The game got signed on for this big competition and that got hasbro's attention, and in a bad way. I think, personally, they should have kept their heads low, and just made the game, and maybe afterwards have tried to have it compete in a publicized manner.

In short, too many people talked and hasbro got wind of it, and so **** hit the fan hard. Hasbro sucks for doing this, but it fits with their track record.

However, proclaiming it to be the end of the world just seems a bit of a chicken little move to me. I really hope this thread doesn't devolve into a story and campaign forum about hasbro and mlp.

Na, na, I'm getting anger headaches telling me to calm down.
But I still think Hasbro is going down the path of killing a fanbase, not even thinking how it benefits them and any chance at good report with older customers.

Someone needs to smack them in the back of the head and ask them "What the hell do you think your doing?"

It'll only get ugly if we let it get ugly. Still though this is a real downer. What with Fluttershy being revealed they weren't too far off from it being released. As for the whole EVO competition thing, the ones behind the contest put them on without telling Mane6 untill things were underway, or at least that's what I hear.

They are dealing with a serious liability-the Bronies. 

You see, MLP is targeted at little girls. 

As such, its reputation must remain pristine as to not offend parents.

And various fan-made material-from clopping to Fighting is Magic- is not exactly "pristine."



With your fan works, you are threating to soil the reputation of the franchise and could ultimately destroy it. So, Hasbro is defending the future of MLP by systematic elimination of the largest threat-the Bronies.

I feel the worst for the dev team. Working hard on this for so bloody long, getting so close, and then getting a LOLNOPE from legal.
