This is not an isolated move. In the last month and a half, they've taken steps against LOTS of fan content. I'm not a Twilicorn conspiracy theorist (quite the opposite, in fact), but anything that has happened and is My Little Pony-related in the past few months that's of Hasbro's making has been BAD.

Mane6 should keep the site shut down, cancel all plans for any characters other than the Mane 6, and work on the shadows. Then release it anonymously via TPB, and tagging it as an internal beta leak. Hasbro won't be able to do ANYTHING about it.

I don't know. I think it depended on its popularity. If it remained something small that didn't get a ton of attention, then yeah, they'd of let it go.

But with popularity, they had to claim a C&D.

That's why I think EVO is to blame. With EVO exposure a lot of people would know and talk about it, some of which may think that Hasbro made it/is behind it.

Garbage deal, what happened there. But it is what it is.

Fighting is Magic is completely non-profit, and could even be categorized as a parody. This wouldn't be half as wrong as what Hasbro is dong right now, but Mane6 just doesn't have any kind of legal firepower.

Also, with no way whatsoever to confirm whether Mane6 posted it on TPB instead of it being another leak, the C&D wouldn't be violated.

Oh please. One barely-recognizable-as-a-dude (that is, if that WAS a dude, I don't recall) cosplayer doesn't count.

Edit: Actually the implication that all bronies are crazy-for-the-show cosplayers is even more concerning.

I still have a really, really bad feeling about this.

As for FiW, that they had to move to a different site should be telling. The point wasn't whether poor us can watch FiW or not. It's that Hasbro took legal action against it. No automated YouTube drone excuse here: Sherclop's request was denied by Hasbro.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro sends a C&D to Sherclop.

So pretty much this is a catch 22. They can;t not show bronies or they get called for ignoring them. They can't show bronies at cons having a good time, you know, like what you would want in an advertisement, or they get accused of doing worse.

I'm not a defender of corporations here, but that seems goddamn ridiculous. What would you have them do? Show a bunch of office workers crouched in front of the computer to hide the MLP youtube vids on their monitors?

FiW- Never watched it really but that still sucks for those who did
