Well firstly there's that "people are afraid of breaking status quo/ everything that's different is jumping the shark", just like with Alicorn Twilight.

Problem is, humanizing ponies to that specific age also increases the chances of the new IP ACTUALLY turning out to be dumbed down "pretty teens with boyfriends" stuff that usually accompanies shows of that demographic. So the sh!tstorm potential is OVER 9000.

Take a look at these links. If this is a troll, there's an awful amount of people in on it. Notice how the second one is apocalyptical...

...but the third is the most interesting. There's a chance that the new IP will be completely parallel to FiM and they'll never mention each other. So we can very safely disregard it as canon and move on with Season 4 featuring Alicorn Twilight learning how to be a wise leader.

lol, yeah, that was a quick assumption of me to make. I'm 99% positive it's better then Fallout 3's as it goes on. 

I've heard the main antagonist is supposed to be like The Master from Fallout 1, so if thats true, thats a REALLY good sign.

Yeah. Forgive me for believing in this as much as I believed in mass shift and the puzzle theory.

Raised a good point though. If this is just for the new IP and not for the entire continuity of FIM, than I can pretty much say I'm okay with this. I still hope the movie we get is not from this new picture, because otherwise that will be such a squandered waste to make the movie the launch of the new IP instead of the FIM movie.

One antagonist is based on the Master, but the mane antagonist is more like a cross between Ashur, John Henry Eden, the Lieutenant.

The ponies walk through the portal in a parallel universe and become humanoid. And then they become speed talkers that cannibalize each other's mental well-being in order to boost their popularity like all girls do. Or they don't. Who knows? 

Regardless, FiM is unaffected other than having one short seaon, which is already (for the most part) past us. 

Therefore, there is no reason to be afraid.

Note: The last run at Smurfs did pretty well, so don't hate just yet.

I'm going to wait till july when some actual info comes out. Otherwise you haven't proven jack **** outside of circumstantial and highly shooty evidence.

Did you see the smurfs movie? It was one of the worst things put to film besides salo.

And I already gave you that consescion above, if this is only for the new IP, and doesn't affect the other show, than I'm cool with it. What I hope is that they don't try and make the new IP into the new show and leave FIM in the dust. Because that would most likley suck, unless the writing and production team can pull another miracle and make both shows great.

Would really like that, but I'm doubtful that that scenario occurs.

This is where I'm at with these. 

All respect to people whos work I admire, like Zach's Ask Surprise, but asking me to believe on pure faith that "Oh, I've known about this for a year", or the Blackheart lady with "Mandopony told me all about this and Sibsy confirmed it"? Sorry, how the **** do you even come by that information?

There's a lot of "I heard it from a friend who ... heard it from a friend who ... heard it from another you've been messin' around" but nobody seems to actually be able to point to a solid source except ... FNMLP. A troll tumblr.

Forgive me for not checking myself into the psychiatric hopsital.

That certainly doesn't mean that it won't crash and burn faster than Gen 2 (which that would be basically the same thing right?)

I think it'll be something that happens between seasons. 

Personally, I'm willing to give it a chance. After all, if somebody years ago told me I'd be an avid My Little Pony fan, I wouldn't believe them, and here I am.

Oh, nonononono. Gen 2 was much, much worse. It wasn't bad because teen ponies, it was bad because teen ponies, horrible animation, shallow as heck characters, stereotyping what girls want to the extreme.
