Eh, I don't like it because it seems that all six of them, if any deserve such a thing. But I think they were better off with just the two demi-god princess ponies. Cadence doesn't really count because she's kinda a skank tbh.

And what about Trixie, think about how bad she'll feel.

It seems to be a matter of Celestia being a troll again or Homebound's theory about their "relationship."

Why can't she be an alicorn and continue being friends with other ponies and learning about friendship? I highly doubt that all alicorns are simply born with perfection like twilight and vampires and loss all sense of pony humanity(ponity? Equinity? Don't know a good term) and become completely different people.

Actually, we don't even know if all alicorns are immortal either, or if that's simply applies to luna and celestia. Which makes me wonder if cadance was simply celestias former student before twilight was. Don't know because I try not to think too deeply into this show.

Well the more info on alicorns the better. As far as what I've currently got swimming around for Prince Shadow, he's an alicorn but isn't on some ridiculous god-tier level. He's very much on the level of the ponies around him-just as he likes it. All ponies being equal, in his mind, no one being better than another.

It's amazing on how many still think that alicorn Twilight will be a temporary thing. What's even crazier though are the few who somehow miraculously avoided all news of Twilicorn.

they do seem to have some sorta aging effect, Cadence was younger when she watched twilight and is now older that much seems to be clear i think or at least implied by her differing artistic style.. but somethign similar happens with luna after she stops being nightmare moon in season 1 she is distinctly smaller than in Season 2 and all other occurences. I don't see how the twilicorn means the end of friendship though. That one i don't get cause Cadence is certainly still having a sorta normal life albeit as a princess and ruling her own kingdom but she is the only Alicorn who soley controls a Kingdom as far as we know. Luna and Celestia share power >>

So he's got the connection to Earth, the flight, the magic, the thestral perks that other ponies have- but instead of being some untouchable God that can't lose, he's very much just like everyone else. He's going to die just as fast as anypony else if he's getting shot to ribbons.

Shadow-"So lets avoid getting me shot to ribbons."

Now I want an amon style villain in mlp, who twist the concept of equality by removing ponies special talents to make them all equally good at everything.

Baring that, a villian willing to do anything in order to ensure equestria dominance in the world, even faking an attack on the kingdom by a rival power to justify crushing them before they become a threat.

Considering Shining Armor and Blueblood are the only princes we know of... Seems like Alicorns are single gender

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot, King sombra also wasnt an alicorn... And you would think of all the male ponies with aroyal shtick he would be an alicorn.
