I've been talking to saM and I don't think he understands how bad Lil'pip and Velvet had it in Stable 101. That place was a real hell hole. It was a dark cramped hole in the ground where they had nothing to do but eat crappy food, fix broken machines, and scrog their cousins. The Overmare wouldn't even commission an artist to paint a mural in Lil'pip service tunnel, it was awful!

The inbreeding explains a lot about Little Pip and Velvet Remedy.

Okay, Stable 101 was a giant bore and all, and most Stables have crappy food, BUT

wasn't food in 101 actually pretty decent compared to the others? You know, because they actually had an Apple Orchard, courtesy of 101 being close to Sweet Apple Acres? 

It's been 1 year since I read it, though.
