And what sort of sound basis for government is that?
One that has princesses ruling over them apparently.
I call proletariat revolts in the new season.

Only if it was a theory, which its not. Its fact. Duh.
IT'ers were convinced that it was fact.
Look how that turned out.

Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing wings is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

You can't expect to wield supreme power just 'cause some watery whorse threw some wings at you!

I wonder if in some way real Twilight comes back to life and takes the fight to Imposter Twilight with the help of the Mane Five.
Gah, that just sounds wrong.
Okay, real Twilight comes back to life, The Mane Six reforms, and then takes the fight to Imposter Twilight.
Much better.

It would also explain why they don't remember anything. The incompatible soul is unable to access the memories of the body, so they do nothing but what the soul, and destiny of that soul, tells the body to do.

Isn't this sort of like the thing that happened to Macintosh's Marauders in the latest chapter of Project Horizons? I think it invoved some zebra changing their destinies with the black book somehow.Gravisanimi wrote...
I'm still going to go with Starswirl's notebook being the Black Book, it has a incomplete spell that switch cutiemarks, which have been linked to souls.

Why would Celestia even care about such a thing being finished? Its only potential uses are to cause havoc.

Uh, guys, you did watch the scene with Celestia IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE, didn't you? It wasn't just "congrats, you finished a spell!", it was "you finished a spell even a badass wizard couldn't because of what you learned about friendship since you came to Ponyville".
Supposedly her conjoined knowledge about frienship surpasses Celestia, especially considering Celestia doesn't appear to have any besides Luna, Twi and Cadence.
So in a way, everything she did and learned up to now made her worthy, completing that spell was just *passing a test* on all she learned (c wut i did thar?)

What I want to know is why put an imposter in Twi's place?
Well actually, nevermind. If Twi's dead its probably better to put an imposter in her place so that everything appears normal/relatively normal.
Maybe Celestia, Luna, and Cadence will work together to bring real Twi back.
And on that subject, I wonder if Cadence will tell Shining Armor that his little sister is dead.

Ignoring all this sillinesss for a brief moment, what is your opinion on Twilight alicorn now LP? Before you adopted a wait and see stance IIRC.
Borrowing Bo's terminology, I think Imposter Twilight is a stinker and a bug.
I want real Twilight back. You know, EternalAmbiguity's waifu Twilight. That one.
I'm cool with Imposter Twilight sticking around, I'm sure she'll be around for a few seasons. But eventually I want the Princesses to find a way to bring real Twi back to dethrone the imposter.
