Uh, guys, you did watch the scene with Celestia IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE, didn't you? It wasn't just "congrats, you finished a spell!", it was "you finished a spell even a badass wizard couldn't because of what you learned about friendship since you came to Ponyville".

Supposedly her conjoined knowledge about frienship surpasses Celestia, especially considering Celestia doesn't appear to have any besides Luna, Twi and Cadence.

So in a way, everything she did and learned up to now made her worthy, completing that spell was just *passing a test* on all she learned (c wut i did thar?)

And what was the point of that all. Why did they need another member of the oppressive ruling class?

I'd hardly call Prince Shadow oppressive. Then again he's not exactly the kind of pony who sits around and rules over kingdoms so...

Maybe we'll find the answer to that in season 4, since the S3 finale and S4 opener are said to be connected.

If Imposter Twilight loses her wings, I wonder if that somehow expunges her from existence and real Twi comes back, but including all the memories and experiences that Imposter Twi had.

This is why I love this show, its deep as hell for family programming.

I bet a ton of people are gonna write fanfics about Imposter Twi.

Hell I've posted a lot of Imposter Twi fan art. Its happening already.

It's actually sort of canonical, when you remember she couldn't use the Elements anymore.

Another reason for having another alicorn is something I'm borrowing from another. A little known purpose of the alicorn is as living guided missiles. Cadance already demonstrated such an effective ability in the season 3 opener, and with their horns able to deliver mighty payloads of magic, they can effectively become Intercontinental Ballistic Princesses.
