The whiners' excuse at /mlp/ (which make up the majority but thankfully not the entirely of the people discussing it) is that she may have wanted Twilight as Celestias' successor, but either not as an alicorn (which makes no freaking sense) or replace her completely (as in, Celestia vanishes) to keep their precious "2 alicorns only because that's what Faust would have wanted" headcanon.

Which is already broken by Cadence but they view that as just another reason to hate on Hasbro.

Velvet Remedy and Pyrelight vs. Scarlet Velocity and Grenadine/Crypsis(depending on the time of day).

That would be a hell of a fight, and the winner would totally depend on location, circumstance, preparation, etc etc.

Damn that'd be mint.

Not gonna lie, if Velvet gets close enough to Scarlet, only way Scarlet survives if she starts no-scoping Velvet successfully or if Grenadine or Crypsis save her ass. Otherwise, Velvet takes it.

If Velvet has no bloody idea where Scarlet is(likely, at least at the start), chances are Scarlet would take her out before the fight even begins. If she can keep Velvet at a distance, its pretty much one-sided and Scarlet will one shot Velvet's skull. As far as the phoenixes go, well that's pretty much a fight between what, immortals? Perhaps thats the wrong word. Well, as long as the phoenixes engage each other, all the ponies have to worry about is themselves.

Goddamn it I want to write my fanfic so bad.
