I don't know who Seth is. And, Luna licking that shaft SURE seems like pr0nz. Not full-fledged, but still...

There's like, no normal (non-sexual) ponyfiction. Other than mine of course.

Sure this is. I read all sorts of slice of life-type fanfics, and that's without crossing into EQD's other tags like Adventure and Sci-Fi.

There's also the Grimdark, of course, but you have to tread a bit more carefully there. I avoid anything involving Mane Six death (incidentally, I hear a lot of Pinkie fans say they hate Cupcakes because of what it's done to people's perceptions of Pinkie...but they haven't got it the worst, what do you think it's like to read about your favorite pony being slowly mutilated?) but regular horror and war stuff is good.

Oh, well, that's different, since none of the Mane Six are around when most of F:E takes place anyways. On the other hand, I stopped reading a pretty interesting story about what if Nightmare Moon had defeated the Elements of Harmony when it became pretty clear Applejack had lost her legs and the author was going to kill off the mane six to tie up loose ends in Ponyville before focusing on Celestia's efforts to defeat her (Rainbow was the first to die, of course, and as I said I don't take grimdark happening to her or Twilight particularly well).

Also, Pinkie dying of diabetes seems to crop up more in sad fics than you might think.
