Well, IF I wrote my story in a way so that this was even possible, I don't know. Probably both.

Would be a somewhat boring story if there was just one phoenix who was ashes half the time.

Though the idea of one having to find a safe place so that it's ashes wouldn't scatter, or so nobody would find it, could make for an interesting plot point.

I'm gonna write it in that even in ash form, phoenixes can still understand and react to their surroundings.

*Noon Lunch Hour*

Spring Storm-"You know, I like Grenadine way more than Crypsis. He's creepy, she's flashy."

*Grenadine smiles, Crypsis is still ash*

*Nightfall, dinner time*

Spring-".....wh....."

*Crypsis is an inch away from the side of his face, dead set STARING at him*

Well, twleve hours of work and projects, and the thread explodes, if it wasn't stickied, it probably never left the top ten... AND BY CELESTIA'S BEARD AND LUNA'S MUSTACHE, when did this thread get over 1500 pages?

To Prince with his Dawn/Dusk phoenixes: perhaps, the phoenixes, knowing when they respectively turn to ash, get into containers on Scarlet Velocity's saddlebags or something of the like. And that video on how they make bows is interesting, when I made a crossbow, I used faux-Damascus steel struts in it, and it's interesting to see how they did it even further back.

I also know Lily's feel, I haven't drawn a male character in a long time, never was good at it though.

I also can't take much credit for the D'aw, Prince's idea and pictures, I just executed.

Well, we'll see how her art turns out going forward. Hopefully the ponies and humanized ponies are as good as what she's produced before.
