Brotarian has not fallen into the Imposter Twi insanity.
It's obviously every time Twi teleports she dies, and she died the very first episode, to leave an exact clone there in the Ruins of Everfree Castle.

I said that she shouldn't have let pony Sunset Shimmer stay in the human world. Pinkie Pie stated that human Twilight Sparkle lived in another city and none of the mane 6 seemed to have jobs, so the human mane 6 are most likely younger than the pony mane 6 were when they defeated nightmare moon. So not only did changeling Twilight steal human Twilight's destiny by giving away her spot in the human mane 6 to pony Sunset Shimmer,  but she also created an awkward situation for human Sunset Shimmer who is going to have to deal with pony Sunset Shimmer strutting around the human world like she owns it. If pony Twilight had come to the human world in place of changeling Twilight, she would have known better than to let pony Sunset Shimmer stay in the human world, but no, she's probably in a cocoon somewhere and changeling Twilight done goofed it up.

My drunken ramblings a few pages back explained it, but I can give a cliffnotes version.

Twilight sparkle's mind was evicted from her body when the element of magic awakened during the sonic rainboom. It hijacked her body and used it from than on. Twilight's mind was thrust into the void between worlds, where she gained infinite knowledge of the multiverse but lost her mind in the process. She went insane, than got bored of that and went sane, and decided to return to her own world. She assumed a new identity with a family of rock farmers, probably in a similar fashion to superman's discovery by the kents(Crashing through space into the middle of their rock field). Having spent so long without a physical form, she had forgotten what she used to look like, taking a que instead from her new "sisters" in shape, and taking her color inspiration from a doll they had. She still possessed magic, just magic on a scale far beyond equestrian comprehension that worked on a reality warping scale. And thus she started a new life, as a new pony, with a awareness of other dimensions and those dimensions timelines giving her an almost precognition to events in her current world.

And that is how equestria was made.

Good, continue at your preferred pace. Just make sure you get it all watched before Season 4 starts towards the end of the year.

It'll vary, but you can assume it'll be something in the September/October/November area. Likely in the latter two months.

Impostor Twi makes much more sense and is way easier to explain.

When the rest of the Mane Six fired their beams at real Twi and she died, she got sent to some alternate plane of existence or reality, and in her place an impostor came to be that can only be identified as different due to her being an alicorn.

It'll take time I imagine but real Twi will come back. I'm gonna laugh at all the people that still think Impostor Twi is the real deal.

...where did the imposter come from? Was it a male or female before it took twilights form? Why does celestia not notice? How does imposter twilight know so much about real twilight? Why now? Is the imposter a pony or some other creature? Are there more of them out there somewhere?

I am taking this far too seriously.

We don't know yet. The show hasn't really delved into that yet. Gotta leave room for future episodes after all.
