Fluttershy is a really "meh" pony. Most average pony.
FLuttershy is best pony! She is unlike any so called "meh" pony!

What did you guys think of Equestria Girls? never saw it, kinda fell out of the show although some things about it I still like.
It felt like the pilot felt.
But with more cheap laughs and more... "catering to the "this is what little girls should like" dynamic". Actually really felt like it was a set back to the double standards the show was originally stepping away from.
Which really bothers me as a girl/tomboy.

Personally, neither I nor my siblings have any children, so I can't really comment on the issue of whether or not the characters are positive role models. Admittedly, My Little Pony is the only television program I watch in which the main characters are not felons, I usually judge television programs by how entertaining the characters' actions are rather than if they are necessarily good people. I tend to prefer the episodes in which the moral lessons are less heavy handed such as "Sweet and Elite" where Rarity got herself into a whole ton of trouble by lying and procrastinating. She was never forced to publicly confess her sins like in a lot of other episodes, but by the end she seemed to realize that continuing this behavior would cause her more trouble than it would alleviate. The way that episode taught a lesson felt more natural and was a more entertaining than a lot of the other episodes.karushna5 wrote...
Yeah, admittedly that show had some problems when it came to ther things and its morals were a little wacky, and not the pinkie sense one, I am actually glad they included it, but I do feel the show was a good thing for girls, and girl role models, and this was a bit of an end to that. So I am back to wondering if Hawk girl can in any way be considered a good role model for my niece. Sometimes it feels shows have backslid over the past 20 years. I have to admit I was disappointed that the ponies were their rainbow colors instead of having some of the girls be PoC.
With that said, I loved the first half of EQG, where the movie was driven by comedy derived from the absurdity of Twilight's situation, but as it dragged on the plot holes started to show, and at the end I was disappointed that the movie didn't have anything more original to say for itself aside from "be nice to kids from other cliques." It wasn't the best I've seen from My Little Pony, but it wasn't the worst.

Still better than "Crystal Empire" imo.Arcadian Legend wrote...
It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Still not that great though, compared to the show itself and the finales/2-parter episodes. I'll just leave it at that.
