I'm not ripping it, really. The last fifteen or so minutes that I saw via the Bronie React vid honestly really kind of redeemed the whole thing (a lot like how ACW was, except ACW was even quicker on the ball in not making it a silly thing about a wedding) so I'm willing to give the rest of it a shot. 

My only major complaint, aside from the utterly pointless introduction of Brad Sentry, is that like BlackGryph0n I'm pissed that TWILIGHT AND CADENCE DIDN'T DO THEIR STUPID DANCE.

Just a quick question, What in the name of the Sisters would this "Imposter" have to gain?

It's clear she couldn't use an Element of Harmony, if anything bad comes up, her cover would be blown. Becoming a alicorn means literally nothing when you have 3 that are more powerful and experienced than you, not to mention the manifestation of Chaos there.

...Besides juice, the cover's likely good enough to use an EoH. And assuming real Twi ever became an alicorn, following that train of thought, whats the point? There's Celestia, Luna, and Cadence all higher on experience as an alicorn.

So, there's probably some nefarious reason we aren't aware of yet. Long term villain goal. MLP could use it, since they've only had long term positive goals so far(like the first season's lead up to the final ep).

If they went that direction, it'd be a far more clever narrative. One problem with the Story-Centric Villain episodes is that they've all been encapsulated within that episode and there's not really a build-up beyond what's inside those episodes. Some of the best stories are all mysteries - without intrigue, it's hard to stay interesting.

In Season 3, we got a little bit of that with 2 episodes interconnecting with one another. They may take this path in S4. Dun Dun Dun.
