Hello my fellow bronies and pegasisters

Can anyone reccomend me a good site to continue my pony-loving journey? Watching eps on Netflix just isn't cutting it anymore

I totally want to make my own pony

My first suggestion is checking out "Bronies In Nature", to objectively view them in their natural habitat. We need more holy warriors to quell this threat, and knowledgable ones at that.

It's still great now, and why not accompany it with a metal cover and some Luna art?

EDIT: Have I ever said how making a post like this on a mobile device is a massive pain in the ass? It really shouldn't be. If only they let you scroll down with a mobile device when using the standard form, every other text field on the BSN with the exception of the blog post field lets you scroll.

CGI models apparently getting better and better at replicating the show.

CGI modelers are getting better too.

As a good example, here is the level it can get too. It's portal, not ponies, and is actually made by someone that worked on Mass Effect, and is a great example of what Source Film Maker can do, which is what the majority of these are.

The longer the years go on, the further it seems to get accepted as part of geek/internet culture. And yeah, they're everywhere.

It hasn't been for lack of trying. I could always host an MLP Quiz Show "Who Wants to be a Milliomare" to see how much trivia people know before S4 starts. If you'd like to win a million bits, give me a ring.

You're making me miss the days when I'd just joined the bronyhood, and this was a strange and wondrous place to explore. Not that it still isn't, but the "wow" factor has dimmed down a bit.

---

I'd been reading up more on Project Horizons, and it's officially my favorite fan fiction to date(though I've only read 2 :P). The pacing is far better than FO:E in my opinion. My issues with FO:E were the lacking amount of intrigue within, say, the first half of the book. Until the Silver Bell chapter, I ended up skimming through an awful lot of that.

So far, so good though. The "Stone" Chapter and "Turnabout" were exceptionally well-written.

Once you get to Volume 2, the size and quality of the chapters is bumped up quite a bit.

At some points it references and even crosses over with the original as well. Fun chapter.

I wonder if that's why some people have this mistaken belief that the fandom is "dying".

Ignoring the fact that we always get slowdowns and predictions like that during the hiatus, I get the sense that because people aren't seeing pony everywhere anymore makes them think that.

We've gone on a bell curve, essentially. In the early days (keep in my I'm basically speaking from a historical perspective - I joined in summer 2011) we were mostly confined to a couple threads on /co/ and /b/ and maybe a few other boltholes on the internet.

Then we exploded. You couldn't go anywhere without seeing a pony avatar or wallpaper or something. Being a fan of the show was still considered unusual, something that deserved to be commented on. It was something that drew attention to itself just by existing.

Now? We're part of the background radiation of the internet. We're an accepted thread of the fabric. We're an accepted kernel on the co- and I can't keep a straight face with these anymore. Point is, yeah, we've just sort of subsumed into the series of tubes.

2011-2012 was our Model T vintage car period, where suddenly everybody had a car and it was remarkable. Now we're in our Model A/B classic car period - everybody has a car and it's not remarkable at all (or at least, less than it once was).

I guess to carry the analogy further, 2010-2011 was our antique Edwardian Era car but now this is just getting silly.

I get that way every now and again.

Not bring-down-the-heavens bad, but gets bored and uses a guy's lumber that I had wanted off my property for a few months to build a shed and sequentially use dynamite to blow it.

I should sleep more often

So, I didn't do a Nightly D'aw yesterday. Some things came up and I was able to be on BSN via someone else's phone. and it was unable to make one.

But tonight I have one, Yay!

On the more literary side, I managed to finish the first volume of PH. Very action-packed, and one particular scene near the end reminded me of this.
