It was a reference to a bizarre creation of mine back in the days of yore called Ponyscape: Discord. Somewhere between a text adventure, a fanfiction, and a mindtrip...which may or may not have involved a certain googly eyed mare. >.> It still exists(though I'd removed the title and first part of it since I figured no one would be watching it again), I'll bring it back when I get the chance and link it here if you like. It also has a ton of BSN references and fourth wall breaking, so it made for an entertaining read.

I think i may have read that at some point because the name is Familiar, but indeed that would be interesting to read.
