G4 fans tend to think of G3.5 as the greatest abomination while G1 fans think of G2 as the greater abomination. I don't think that G2,3&3.5 have any fans though.

I don't mind the G1 stuff so much. A) because the current ponies we know and love are all based on the core cast of G1, or at least how Lauren remembered them, because the pilot has a bizarre cheese factor to it, whatwith the beast men swooping down on flying lizards and capturing ponies all done on an animation budget of what looks to be about $5 ($4 of which was spent on pizza), and C) it's the 80's, and that excuses everything else.

G2 looks like it was made on drugs and I don't want to talk about G3/3.5. "Rainbow Dash always dresses in style" alone is enough to make me break down in tears.

Personally I like Psychotic Cupcakes the most. It perfectly catches the atmosphere of the 'Cupcakes' fanfic.

I think I posted Demented Cupcakes before. Good song - I can honestly say that this show has, via the brony composers, considerably expanded my musical horizons. I still generally hate techno, trance, and dance music, but while I've liked other electronica in the past I've got a greater appreciation for it now.

This is one of those times where I'm at odds with everybody else in the thread, but...I dislike Flutterwonder. Well, actually, I like the first ten seconds, it's got a great ambience, but as soon 'Shy's singing starts and the beat starts it goes downhill for me.

FiM caters to everyone inlcuding males and adults with it's Looney Tunes-esque humour and epicness.

I watched a compilation of the intros on YouTube, G2 is the one where they all acted like fur-suited humans. I think I also saw some Mr. Potato Heads in the intro, so...yeah, like I said. Pretty sure it was made on drugs. Not one of the crowning achievements of 90's Western animation, that's for sure.

Still, G1 had "call upon the sea ponies" so it can't be all bad.
