Hoping to get a chance to sit down and watch at least a couple episodes today, but not sure if I'll have time, since I watch them with my roommates.

Well, YouTube is still an option(though it's almost all commentary ones at this point). Meh, people pay to watch movies while strangers talk all the time in theatres, so it doesn't bug me as much. You'll have to forgive me as I've seen like the first 4 or so episodes, but I don't really watch TV at all so I know very little about the franchise beyond the names of the protagonists.
That's how I saw the first handful of episodes lol It's a good quality cartoon, but between my non-interest in TV shows in general (I'd rather be gaming) and my distaste for some of the more cutesy elements (the singing, for example), I just couldn't stay into it enough to watch it. Still love the franchise and its fan creations though(even the raunchy stuff).
On a side note, I HATE when shows replace group pronouns with animalized versions. "Come on, everypony! Let's make sure anypony who's here finds their special somepony and let's all really pony up our efforts! Did I mention we're ponies?!"
Does anybuggy (Miss Spider's Sunnypatch Friends) else feel this way? I would assume it bothers everybunny (Max & Ruby... I had to babysit younger brothers a few years back).
Anyway, I've already posted too much. Back to the shadows for me.

A great episode, it covers some hidden aspects of certain characters, and it's just all-around fun.The next episode in queue is S2: E10 - Secret of My Excess. Trying to watch everything in order for the "full experience". xD
Dammit, we were this close to pulling you in.Anyway, I've already posted too much. Back to the shadows for me.
Compulsion isn't exactly the word I'd use, but yes, people enjoy the show to an often rabid amount.Just joined and one of the first things I saw was "My Little Pony", a thread started 3 years ago. Wow, this show must have serious powers of compulsion.
On a side note, I think the new episode has been leaked based on some of the YouTube videos getting pulled. I'll keep my eye out if we get another sneak peek.

Welcome to the BSN, the Official MLP thread of the BSN, and yeah, the show's good enough to keep us sticking around for the long haul.

I'll agree it was pushing the character beyond her usual self for comedic purposes. Overall I liked the episode, and it feels like a better stepping stone for bringing Flutters into Extroversion territory than Putting Your Hoof Down. That episode was entertaining, but resulted in a brief bipolar disorder more than anything else.I wanted to enjoy this week's episode more, but Pinkie Pie just seemed so out of character.
As far as Filli Vanilli, I'd give it an 8 out of 10. I liked the flutterguy twist which felt appropriate for the episode... though for those who don't care for upbeat singing groups, the music might be a turn-off. I'd say Bats! still remains my favorite Flutter-Centric episode, but FV is still worth the watch. Not mindblowing, but still an entertaining romp.
According to the Wiki, the next 4 episodes are:
- Twilight Time
- It Ain't Easy Being Breezies
- Somepony To Watch Over Me
- Maud Pie
"In the previous third generation line of the My Little Pony brand, Breezies, refers to a fairy-like class of ponies that are small in size and sport antennae and wings." Dat Source. As far as the last 2 episodes, I got nothin'.
Buck Hunt
~Should've Known~
~Never too late for Love GIFs~
~Barney's Sister~
~Freaky~
~Dark Cultists are Best Cultists~

Also how I'm disappointed with Pinkie's characterization (or lack of thereof) marring Filli Vanilli. That and that they should have written at least one extra song for the Ponytones if they wanted to have them sing to damn much.
Pinkie is especially baffling considering how spot-on she was portrayed on Pinkie Pride, Pinkie Apple Pie, and even Power Ponies. The writers should do a reunion and establish strict rules on Pinkie's characterization.
I also don't share DV's Bats! favoritism for Fluttershy, because the conceptual problem of the bats themselves is so off-putting it actually detracts from my enjoyment of Fluttershy's epic episode derailment. I just can't stop thinking how weak her position was, even at the end of the episode. Because of that, Hurricane Fluttershy remains my Yellow Quiet favorite.
And finally, facepalm at this ongoing imposter twilight stuff.

I also liked the nod back to the end Hearts and Hooves Day, where Cheerilee faints in the crowd during the first Ponytones performance.

Yes. Pinkie had generally been pretty good this season, but for this one she went straight into Bad Pinkie territory.

I wouldn't say it was negative. If everyone agreed with each other in here, there'd be virtually nothing to discuss. If anything, I wouldn't mind the change of pace.Wow, that post came out more negative than I thought. So. Erm.
Quite a few have mentioned this, and they're right - Pinkie's been acting either like a complete moron(distracted by a balloon?) or has otherwise been a tool for comedy more than an actual character. Also how I'm disappointed with Pinkie's characterization (or lack of thereof) marring Filli Vanilli.
I favor it, but recognize its flaws too. I admit to laughing out loud when they started swirling around her chanting "Kill the Bats". Is that mind control via musical numbers? Maybe I'm just prone to Flutterbat. XD And the biological cicrumstances of that are still greatly in question, and unclear whether they'll show up again.I also don't share DV's Bats! favoritism for Fluttershy
Remind me never to play 20 questions with AJ. Yikes.I have to say, AJ and Mac's rapid "eeyup" exchange after everything goes all Milli Vanilli was one of my favorite moments of dialog this season.
Mayyyyyyyyyyyyyyybe. That Easter Egg/Retcon from Pinkie Pride is still a wild card. I straight up have no idea what is going on this season. An awful lot's up in the air, and I don't mean cloudsdale. This intrigues me. Pie Family episode?
What does it mean?
