Im detecting copious amounts of Twilight angst in your post.

Nah. Recon's on a temporary hiatus, so I'm covering him for now.

Really though, the only reason Twilight has ever been able to accomplished anything is because Celestia and/or Luna are too lazy to take care of the problem themselves or because her friends help her out.

A fair summary of the Two-Parters. Half of the villains are leftovers from Celes/Luna's days and the 2 are often No-Shows to the action.

She really shouldn't be a princess. I mean "princess of friendship"? WTF is that? That's a no-show job if I ever heard one.

RD as President of Awesome from FO:E is worse, but Twi's got plenty at the helm to handle.

Anyway, here's a brief preview for tomorrow's episode. Fangirls. Everywhere. Using My Magic 8-Ball, I predict an 8 out of 10. Also found some new info on one of the next episodes, Somepony to Watch Over Me. So yep, spoilers.

I suppose it depends on ones' definition. Either MoAS or MwT would be the biggest candidates for causing the greatest ethical atrocities, and/or pushing Equestria closer to FO:E's beginning. I'm hardly an expert on the fan fiction, but MoA came off(at least intially) as the department that pulled off the least for the war effort.

Typically I'm not that into the MLP Music outside of SimGretina and a couple others, but this 30-minute epic nailed it. Battle of Sun And Moon is pretty intense.

SPOILERS AND STUFF

Well, it's hard to gauge this episode. On the unpleasant side, it's rather easy to see where it was going once the two seeds of unholy corruption started walking onto the stage. It feels like these 2 have been used a bit too much as a tool for bringing the CMC into drama-filled messes(Babs Seed, Ponyville Confidential, Flight to the Finish). I was hoping they'd learned not to take the bait by now.

On the other hand, it was nice to see the CMCs practicing Pony-Type Specific Skills instead of rushing for their C-Marks. It had plenty of good humor, and will likely popularize both lemonade and the lesser-known Horseshoe fries. Alicorns snarfing on burgers - It's a thing.

I'd describe the episode the same way (I'm Paraphrasing) Black Baron described the Reading Rainbow episode - you can pretty much see where it's going, but there's enough fun elements to make it worth the watch. It's a pretty great episode. Not quite going beyond a filler episode, but it was nice. Here's hoping the breezies episode knocks it out of the park - the last few episodes haven't quite reached must-see status. I'd put this one around 7.7. 

Found some info on an upcoming episode, Leap of Faith.

Applejack is doubtful of the Flim Flam Brothers' cure-all tonic; Granny Smith tries it and it seems to work.

In WAY more interesting news, the episode Maud Pie is apparently this:

What's an "element of laughter", either? It's a land with talking, magical flying colorful pseudo-horses where laughter, honesty, loyalty, generosity and kindness conjure a rainbow-colored multi-use ray of godlike power. This is "Hey Luna can't co-rule with Celestia because that's not how sovereignty works!" levels of missing the point.

I was afraid Twi wouldn't show a lick of concern in the entire the episode, which would give credit to the Mary Sue wolf-criers. Thankfully she showed a bit of disappointment after The Reveal. A shame that the "Now that we're sorry we automatically become capable of doing the stuff we couldn't literally five seconds ago!" thing happened soon after.

I loved the restaurant scene.

I kinda liked yesterday's episode, despite Sweetie Belle's firm grasp on the Idiot Ball. And the most badly-acted "Aww!" from a crowd I've ever seen. And the writers not even caring about writing character for Tiara and being content on making her evilness almost surpass that of the main villains.

Narratively it was pretty messy, yeah. Tiara's villainry had a far more interesting motive in Flight To The Finish, though. While not ethically justified, it made sense that she didn't want "Blank Flanks" to be representative of the entirety of ponyville. With Twilight Time I can't tell if she's legit about her Twilight Fangasm or if she's just trolling the CMC again. I lean towards the former, but it's still DT we're talking about.

A shame that the "Now that we're sorry we automatically become capable of doing the stuff we couldn't literally five seconds ago!" thing happened soon after.

Eeeyup. Well, the episode still had its moments as you mentioned with the restaurant scene. We got to watch a Chicken become a Duck, and to observe the Princess of Equestria go down on a Big Mac certainly had entertainment value. Three's a Crowd suffered from similar issues that this episode did, but had a better sense of intrigue/mystery/insanity due to Discord's personality and the latter half of the episode. John De Lancie may not be near the singer Andrea Libman has been this season, but he made a great effort regardless.
