Well, she already does run an insanely productive apple orchard. Doesn't seem like she has much need for aspirations when she can provide just fine for herself just by treading water. Now if she and both of her siblings each started their own families, than Sweet Apple Acres might not be big enough for the three of them. In that case, Applejack might end up drawing the short straw and having to start a similar farm elsewhere.

The screen time of those 2 jokes were probably around half a minute of a 22 minute film. That really killed the entire episode?

I tried pulling that off against my clone, but the super is hard to do. It's two full half circles + C, all while trying to survive and commentate at the same time. :| The Level 1 Super is easier to handle.

What a load of nonsense. The undeserved preferential treatment of Twi and her family only showcases Celestia's incompetent leadership and bizarre (probably insane) personality. When the rightful ruler, Princess Luna, first of her name, takes the throne I expect Twi to be kicked back to the street and made a dirt-farming earth pony.

If Luna doesn't claim the throne (I don't know why she wouldn't), Celestia's actions will eventually inspire rebellion. She'll be executed and a pony Napoleon (probably Applejack) will appear and start invading everything.

I'm just saying the only true emper(or/ess) must be a sparkleborn and the only known sparkleborn who has ascended is the twilicorn. Thus the twilicorn is the rightful ruler and Empress Celestia, and her mislead successor Luna should abdicate their position to the one true twilicorn and the council of friendship.

One instance I could see this becoming an issue is if Celestia were somehow removed from the picture, with Luna and Twilight contesting for the throne. Even outside of NMM mode, Luna isn't exactly the most stable of the two sisters. That may very well become an episode in the future, but that's just speculation on my part.

For the first season, it wasn't really a thing.

Season 2 had a bit more political intrigue with Canterlot Wedding, but Twilight was still in the same lofty position as leader of a bizarre social experiment. Season 3 is when everyone started freaking out when she was brought into alicorn status and made an official part of the royalty. This was touched upon in the Season 4 opener as well, and it's likely to come up again at some point. Celestia and Luna are godlike, but aren't completely unstoppable. Even Chrysalis was able to stop Celes in her tracks.

The show is hardly heavy in the throne-grabbing/political intrigue department, but it's becoming more apparent over time.

Well at least fire and blood isn't being screamed every other sentence by some one i hope falls into a pit.

 

There is that going in MLP's favor but that said its hardly the first children's show to copy elements from its more comptemporary adult peers.

Well, the show was never intended to be just for kids. It was expected to be seen by families, meaning adults watching with their kids, so its natural they threw in references for adults to enjoy.

First off, don't you dare put George and "grave" in the same sentence before he's finished A Dream of Spring. We don't want to tempt fate here.

Secondly, it's mostly jokes we make, but occasionally there are some Throne-y situations at hand. Compare to Frozen, where unbeknownst to everybody else Hans is actually playing the Game of Thrones (and Elsa is playing Crusader Kings 2). But as far as we know, there are not in fact seven kingdoms in Equesteros.

Also there are no imposters and no Bolton (Ramsay or Roose) analogs of any kind, and in fact the likelihood of that of there being any is approximately the likelihood of winter not coming.

So I decided to make some drastic changes to the MLP Starter Packs. Yes, this isn't going to mean much to the regulars here but hopefully it comes in handy. Based on your feedback, I decided to roll up my hooves and pony up your experience.
