The animated nature of a storyline doesn't necessarily make it exempt from criticism, though. There are certain leniancies in Cartoon Logic(since it's obviously going to have different laws of physics), but Breezies did kind of bomb on the lore side. At the time, I just sort of suspended my disbelief on that one and assumed "Okay I'm sure the writers know what they're doing".I think some people forget its a cartoon.

I don't get it. Where were the bad elements of the episode that separate it from episodes like look before your sleep or dragonshy.

For the breezies episode or the new one? I'm just nitpicking, if you meant the new one. There's not really anything narratively wrong with the second half,I don't get it. Where were the bad elements of the episode that separate it from episodes like look before your sleep or dragonshy.

Turned out Applejack is a pretty awesome troll this episode.

Either episode to be perfectly honest. Neither game me the feeling of boredom/disappointment that spike at your service gave me, so I don't see how people can say either were bad.

I believe they call that Revenge.Turned out Applejack is a pretty awesome troll this episode.
As far as Bronitarian's subject, maybe I overreacted on the Chimera talking, it just felt a lot sillier compared to how he/she/it was introduced. To be fair, Ahuizotl and many other One-Off nasty creatures speak as well, so I'll recede my point on that.
You dare speak that name in these hallowed halls? TO THE DUNGE- nevermind. Well, glad you enjoyed it. I still liked the episode. I don't know what I expected between the two previews. My feelings on the episode were about the same as Daring Don't - Didn't care as much for the latter half, but it's still a pretty great episode overall.Spike at your service

Don't mind your criticism with the cimera, more about how shocking everyone reacted to the breezies episode. The chimera thing is just personal taste so no biggie.

And in retrospect, I may have been too harsh on the latter half of this episode. That is a surprisingly talkative unholy abomination, though.

Wait, what? How is that a chimera? It was a saber tooth cat instead of a lion.
They even used a lion tamer chair.
Was that a mix up with the animators or something?
Overall, decent, little less heavy handed with this episode, and it shows one day Applebloom's puppet might get an upgrade.

Well, it's easier referring to it as a chimera for now - the official name hasn't shown up yet. I personally prefer the name "Manekiller".Wait, what? How is that A chimera. It was a saber tooth cat instead of a lion. They even used a lion tamer chair.

Really hope Maud Pie can help save this season. Make it Happen, Hasbro.

Fire Swamps and three-headed creatures where the heads all argue with each other, eh?
Somebody on the writing team has been watching The Princess Bride and Monty Python.

How did this list come about anyway? Is that forum functionality I'm unaware of at this time, or some other thing?

I don't know, I think it's third party software of some form.

I would've thought the forum would have something like that. Eh, perhaps added later if they so choose.

I am doing some tutorials on android game development I decided to make this to compliment my tutorials. Not for commercial purposes but for the lulz. I should have a working game as soon as the tutorials are out.

Been watching reviews on the Breezies episode while someone inevitable throws the new Somepony To Watch Over Me episode on YouTube. I flatout misjudged that one, it's practically been panned as a train wreck and full of plot holes.
Edit: Ah there it is.
- The pollen could go bad and remove their chance of going back home, but manage to pull it off at the last minute anyways?
- Where DO they live? Western Equestria or another Dimension?
Yeah, after I watched T.O.'s impressions I felt my whining was completely vindicated. That he talked about some points that I didn't (pollen going bad) and vice versa (breezies not making sense overall) speaks to how much wrong there was in the episode. To me the plotholes could have even being excused and/or handwaved had they been the only problems, but characterization was poor, pacing was a mess, and the humor atrocious. It is a truly godawful episode.
I will disagree with Tommy that the travel to the Breezie dimension itseld was bad, though. Of course it was obvious toy marketing - and so was the first time we saw the Friendship Express. But it was used for world build, and I can totally get behind some world building. It also gave us the only two funny jokes in the episode.
I think some people forget its a cartoon.
You say that as if we were discussing the definition of being a princess in Equestria or any other easily-handwaveable matter. You'd need to grow giant fans on your arms and flap them fast enough to take off if you wanted to wave away this ep's problems.
I don't get it. Where were the bad elements of the episode that separate it from episodes like look before your sleep or dragonshy.
... what were the bad elements of either those episodes? Especially Look Before You Sleep, which was pretty flawless.
For the breezies episode or the new one? I'm just nitpicking, if you meant the new one. There's not really anything narratively wrong with the second half,
Spoiler
My problems with this episode: overlong intro that underdelivers, kinda janky first half*, and slightly forced chimera dialogue. The overall concept of Applejack being overprotective is great, fits well with both her character, her Element, and even adds more depth despite being another variation of "Applejack you worry too much". The swamp was awesome, Applebloom's peril being kinda dark was also awesome - they could've easily tried to shove her off a cliff or waterfall like Scoots in S3 - and the minor world building resulting from that was really appreciated.
*Having Applebloom break half the kitchen because she was suprised with AJ was smart. Having it happen a second time because the writers threw the Idiot Ball at her was lame. The 3 or 4 near-verbatim repetitions of "I don't need you to look after me, I can take care of myself" were just plain lazy. Overprotective AJ was awesome, I just wish they did something early in the episode to snap her and make her hyperbolic actions more justified. Otherwise it kinda feels like plot-induced OOC.
Overall a much welcome episode to remove the bad taste the last one left me with. At least a 7.5, probably an 8 (m8).

There would be no way for me to have fun with this show(or any) if I made an effort to break it down to that extent.
