After going through Vault 34, I think that just because there is an Overseer protecting everyone doesn't mean that people will respect them. In Vault 34, the Overseer let everyone have weapons and explosives but when the people wanted to use them, they were told not to and this led to them rebelling against the Overseer. Due to this, the Overseer filled the vault with radiation. The ones that got out later became the Boomers who are psychotic people with explosives.

Why would a stallion being in charge be appalling?

Doesn't matter to me if it were mare or stallion. Complaining that someone in power was born with one gender or another seems rather pointless. Yeah, most of the characters in MLP are female, and I'd be happy to see more recurring male characters, so here's hoping for more on that end. And that's as far as I'm going on the subject.

Speaking of reoccurring male characters, There is actually a reference in Big Macintosh's name.

 

If you ever paid attention to computer history, the Apple company that makes iPhones and Macs. Mac is actually an abbreviation for Macintosh. So when you think about it, Big Macintosh is in the Apple family and the Apple company makes PCs called the Macintosh.

"Follow this Topic" button in the upper right corner. I'd recommend setting the 'get updates' option to daily or never, otherwise your email will be spammed whenever someone posts, but it's the easiest way for me to keep track of my 2 favorite threads.
