The worst episode ever was "Too many Pinkie Pies" IMHO. I would easily take being locked in the Sierra Madre with a bomb collar than spend 5 minutes with the pink hyper thing.

Was a drill perforating your stomach while you were watching it? Cuz that's the only way I can ever imagine someone calling TMPP a bad episode, let alone the worst. Especially with the, ahem, recent competition.

 

Maud Pie Review:

Love the "storyboarding" section, a good way to show the audience her blurred vision of the past. That hat is ridiculous... I really like the introduction to Maud Pie. They use pretty much every possible way to make her a conflicting character against the rest. Let's face facts: Everyone in ponyville is too bloody cheery and happy. At least for Season 4, they've often had to outsource to other places(i.e. Manehattan) to bring in someone discordant against their personalities. They can't rely on Diamond Tiara/Silver Spoon forever. Using Pinkie's relatively darker past to haunt her is a good way to throw a narrative wrench into MLP. Rule of Pixar Storytelling:
 
Her voice seems based on Tara Strong's work as Raven - that can't be coincidence. Trying the One-On-One is a good way to cement Maud's Non-Conformist Goth-y style. Going with the same "I like rocks" thing gets a bit tedious after a while through those scenes, but fortunately it doesn't drag forever. The other Mane 5 are put in a fairly uncomfortable position, and giving bad news to Pinkie Pie has always been tough. You can tell the pinkamena is at least coming out a little. Instead of going nuts(again), the taste of desperation drives her to create the ridiculous obstacle course, which spurns maud to save her when it comes crumbling down. Despite all that, the theme is great(love of someone is the best/only way they can bond). Almost starts out like A Friend In Deed, now that I think about it.

The new character is welcomed, and it's got some great laughs too. My complaints would be that would've been a lot more interesting to throw in some sort of warping of pinkie's past meeting with reality. A flashback or something similar, maybe. Having said all this, I'd put it in the 8-8.5 range. Definitely one of the better ones and my gripes are vastly minimal compared to the last few(or more...) being chucked out.

So yep, I liked it a good deal.

 

 

I don't know man, for every few awesome things they did with the episode there was also something facepalm-inducing. The biggest one has got to be how they landed on a perfect moral - not everyone clicks together - but purposefully made the situation worse than it was going to be - and did that by once again reducing Pinkie to 5 year-old levels of maturity/intelligence - just so they could force a happier overall but weaker moral instead: if you and someone else share a BFF, then you're instantly, automagically also BFF-worthy even though you're really not! ...yay?

 

Maud's outburst of awesomeness also had its impact diminished to me because Twilight, Princess of Friendship, Element of Magic and Alicorn, master of telekinesis... did neither fly nor cast a spell to save her friend from certain death (and neither did Dash, for that matter).

 

Anywho No she is not like toph, Toph was a more energetic emotional ball of fury Maud is Maud she is the ideal jedi if she is more like anyone from avatar it's the Girl Zuko Has a relationship with but her name escapes me.

Well, seeing how Pinkie Pie is friggin annoying and then there were hundred of them... It would be like millions of flies swarming around your house and eating all your food in a few seconds.
