Also, quick way of telling if it will be a key episode, look for Mane 6 color drops. Purple, lavender, orange, yellow, pink and cyan put together means someone's getting their key

The episode has a strong premise for a key episode, but ultimately is...just another episode. It was good, but there's not much you'll be missing outside of the previews besides Granny Smith's 1800's Intro.

This time I'm going to disagree with you. Few MLP episodes break any molds, so I don't exactly long for originality in this show. The premise was good and made a LOT of sense for Applejack's character. Speaking of character, everyone's was top notch here too, so extra points for that; it is fitting that family - more specifically a family member's happiness - would be one the few things that could break AJ's "100% honest 100%(ish) of the time" policy. Applebloom showed she's still a bit naive but that she also trusts her sister's judgement, Big Mac had an awesome Chuck Testa moment in the pool, and the writers didn't give Granny the idiot ball while she was being fooled (something that always enrages me).
Flim Flam were their usual selves and I liked how they managed to basically tell the truth to Applejack as a means of keeping *her* from telling it. Applejack wouldn't have had second thoughts about denouncing the brothers had they insisted on their lie and not brought up GS's newfound happiness. Very smart. The song didn't push any wrong buttons with me and I kinda prefer it to Super Cider Squeezy 6000 because I thought that song went on for waaaaay too long.
Overall, the episode was fun, had a moral that supports its Key Episode status, didn't do anything wrong at all, and kept me interested despite knowing in advance how it would very likely end. That's more than I can say for Rarity Takes Manehattan (the song in that episode was downright dumb), so I give it a 9/10.

*Also really enjoyed the shots where AJ occupies most of the screen during her character moments: the animation of her expressions and her ponytail's movements were very well done - not to mention AJ is cute as hell.

Oh god, DiH's review of Maud Pie made me take back almost everything I complained about that episode - those mostly being complaining about Pinkie's writing. I still think the obstacle to be kind of dumb, but not beyond "Pinkie is desperate" levels of dumb. The rest was just me being an ass about wanting a downer episode for no reason other than how bizarre it would seem.
Before I clicked the spoiler part, I thought it was an actual car. Thus I was afraid to click it. But my curiosity and my love for automotives got the better of me.
Relief washed over me when I realized it was just a bunch of pixels smashed together to create something so monstrous.
Even if, I still feel an immense amount of sorrow towards that diminutive being of a car.
Not only does it look like a ricer, but it has the taint of MLP on it as well. Such a tragedy.
