Professional Critique of Equestria Games:

So far the major Pros of the episode are the 3D Effects, the absolutely huge character roster in the audience, and the very brief payoff of previous episodes(Rainbow Falls, Fttf). Even if Rainbow Falls wasn't the most succesful key episode, it was nice to see a nod for it. The major dilemma becomes less of being able to light the fire, but the messy aftermath. Spike's Cloudsdale Performance was one hell of an epic fail, but would be put in the So-Bad-It's-Good category.

Ice Archery is very cool. Very, v- oh forget it. It's an interesting idea for a sport, though I'm curious why they allowed that sort of game without any netting at all. What if they misaimed at the audience? o.O Regardless of the logical issues, it was a good opportunity for spike's redemption, though not fully. It's a good moment between Twi and Spike to find some sort of fix for his insecurity issues, or at least a stepping stone.

*Ahem* To give a clear, calm analysis... Wait, giant ice clouds threatened the whole of the Crystal Empire? THAT WAS AWES-
(Come on Dom, Get it together - you're supposed to be the unbiased one who doesn't talk about Recon's Cloppitude)

In general, I'd say it was kinda sorta... great. About an 8. Not mindblowing, but it's a high-production episode that was satisfying, even if the story's direction wasn't entirely surprising.

With regards to the whole masculinity thing I think it's totally a valid stance but at the same time at least American culture has slowly been moving towards gender neutrality for a a while before this at least in my experience. So I think bronies are a result of the change to gender neutrality not necessarily a catalyst. But I'm not a sociologist so speculation on my part .

I really liked the episode, it showed us that Spike isnt a giant buttmonkey all the time that nobody likes. And the moral at the end was really special. Simple and sweet. Im glad they havent quit on these life lessons and such.

And Dom, in my time since joining BSN theres 1 thing I know for sure, everyone who enters this thread eventually talks about Recon's extracurriculars.
