Because you aren't a mod.
I wanted to say something so much snarkier, but really. Right down to the facts, it is because people like you are not mods.
And let me say this to anyone stalking this thread, getting ready to put on enough courage or stupidity to come and insult people in this thread for no reason but it gives you a little giggle.
What you're doing. It's boring. Not infuriating, not frustrating, just boring. Like hearing the sound of your own heartbeat, overtime, your brain just tunes it out, but if you can focus, you can hear it.
Now if you exuse me, I'm going to bring the topic back to multi-coloured, cartoon equines of a small stature.
Well, my idea about Tirek's Origins were off, but do you think that could be a viable place for villains to come from in the future?
Or do you think we will ever hear of or see Scorpan again? They certainly made the point of mentioning him and even his connection to Star Swirl, and we already know how much Twilight likes getting messed up in his old affairs.

Well you see... Most normal people understand people like different things and this is one outlet. And:

Anywho now that i'm done side scrolling and taking troll bait.
_______
Dom that was a great post, i also agree with the others that it's pretty damn brave of you to write that on face book if it might help your argument, if you are still pursuing the conversation at least, i present you with this glorious little quote from a man who really loved the crap out of fairy Tales:
C.S. Lewis:
Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.
I tried to find another quote about art that i thought might help you but really this one by CS Lewis strikes home to the issue surrounding MLP rather accurately. What we have in the case of MLP and dissaproval of our like/love of the show is the same as any other Genre of Artistic Expression or Medium. We have so ingrained into our culture that Cartoons are "childish" that people begin to use "childish" to dismiss the importance or relevance of the medium when they see it as threatening their own world views in some way. In this case we have the issue of masculinity being challenged at least to some extent, though again i see the large reaction we've had to the show as a resultant of a previous change in our culutre directing us towards a more Gender neutral society at least State Side. I couldn't speak about anywhere else mostly because i don't know the gender dynamics about Germany for as much as i've studied it or Brittain. I haven't seen or discussed for the past 12 years of my 24 year life span the evolving gender dynamics of those countries on the other hand, we've seen over our life time Homosexuality become more regular and less taboo, (a great thing in my opinion) and massive increases in attempts to de-sexualize the physical body of both men and women, though predominantly women while men genders stereotypes remain relatively well in place (How do i know this? The Reaction to Bronies.), we've all been educated or at least influenced by numerous things over our lives that have basically lead us to innately oppose the regular gender dynamic here that in a way perpetuates many inequalities. I won't blame any one side for it it's just a culture thing and i think that because of those changes we're particularly more willing to accept and support a show that is by all means straddling the battle-line.
As it is with maturity in his quote so too it is with gender, it's only a descriptive term for physical attributes and it should no longer hold any real lasting sway over an individual it shouldn't any longer be used to designated appropriate material or treatment for an individual outside of base physical requirements. Being a "Man" Does not mean one does "mannly" things like hunting, rugged lumberjacking, fist fighting and GI JOE, it simply refers to an individual bearing a Y chromosome in their adult stage of life. Nothin' more nothin' less. It does not require a guy to be a fist pumping ball of rage and hormones who embodies all things non-feminine. That's what people are missing when they come here spewin' hate and discontent over ponies (A Rarity on this forum) and what not or claiming that our appreciation of the show is other wise illogical ignoring that Gender Differences such as boys like GI-Joe and girls like MLP are by themselves illogical however since they aren't based on any form of rational thought but instead entirely on cultural expectations that again have no real rational behind them and certainly aren't grounded in any fact. Instead our appreciation for the show is feed more by logic and reasoning than another persons drive to follow (or avoid) something on the basis that it's (non)masculine
Anywho from what i read though i think you gave very very valid reasons for liking the show and a good detailed explanaition of at least some of the trends. Very well put. I'm sorry you and your father didn't see eye to eye there in a sensible way :/ it would've made great discussion. What other kinds of responses have you gotten?
PS: if you didn't see/get the rarity joke re-read it xD if it wasn't funny i'm sorry i have failed you all T-T

I'm kinda hoping so, there seemed to be unfinished business there but i'm really hoping tirek doesn't end up just becoming a generic "I'll get you this time Twilight Sparkle" villain. I want to see more ancient things happen between Discord and these two. Clearly they knew eachother. And I also want to see what Celestia Wanted Discord For in the first place i have a hard time believeing his role is fullfilled in the show.

I make a lot of blood sacrifices to Goddesses, but I don't remember an Evil Celestia, let me check the list
☑ Gia
☑ Iris Heart/Plutia
☑ Luna and Celestia
☑ Godoka
☑ Homucifer
☑ Pyrrha Nikos
Nope, no Evil Celestia

Neither is Celestia.
And how does one withdraw a blood sacrifice?

She knows she is an evil tyrant, and I don't think you un-sacrifice something.

Because the mods are some kind of religious fundamentalists, and they believe that suffering us to remain will hasten the end of the world.

You must connect your hands and your mind in the sacred ritual of Thinking Really Hard and Rambling to achieve such greatness.

For the meanies that do not like us anymore

For the rest of you guys, Discord should be the leader. He has superb logic and would rule them all properly, unlike Imposter Twilight.

Mostly curiosity. Talking about Adult Swim's take on non-child based cartoons, and becoming aware of the "brony movement".What other kinds of responses have you gotten?
Yes.Why are people writing Daring Doo books? Do they want to make us all egg heads too?
The Imposter Theory has more holes in it than a Lyra Plushie.Imposter Twilight.

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT
I found something that literally changes everything this fandom has ever lived for!
I found a video game NOT infected with pony/mlp theme mods/items/creations/etc. called Little Big Planet. Whenever I am tired of seeing ponies I flock to the safe haven of LBP2 where I can clear my mind peacefully.
