Don't try to apply logic to everything I do, I've gone mad trying to.

 

But in this case,it may be it was to get Recon to submit and say I am not a clopper(which I ain't), not in the manner of the normal sadist/masochist encounter.

I'm looking for quality, not a bandwagon. Hype doesn't amount to much if the show isn't cutting it. In the same vein grav said, better spending your time elsewhere if the fandom isn't to your tastes.

So for better or for worse, Rainbow Rocks is coming out September 27th. Based on the previews, I still think it's in Kill-It-With-Fire territory. Comes off as no more than a rock-ier version of the same tripe we found in Equestria Girls. It's one of those things that feels less like art and more like a product. In an industry like this, it's sometimes hard to distinguish the two.

According to the Panel way back, Hasbro does "requests" to influence major story points like 'Hey, give Twilight a castle cuz reasons'. They found a smart, organic way of making that work with the narrative, but I still get twitchy with moves like that. I'm curious if hasbro did the same thing for some of their better work like Transformers: Beast Wars. It's one of my big issues with MLP as a whole, though I'm glad the team at least handles it well. I believe the rumor to Lauren Faust's quitting early on was due to this.

Hypothetically, let's say Hasbro wants to recast the show, and for some reason they decide to scar children around the world and kill the main cast in order to wipe the slate clean.

 

How would be the best way to handle that to you? How would you kill off the pones who light up your face with a smile, smile, smile?

 

Personally, I'd fire whoever came up with such a terrible idea and have his 401K revoked.
