There is a link in this thread with the complete first season on it.  Watch that and make your own judgment

SR-71, maybe. Would be the perfect representation of a Sonic Rainboom. The XB-70 is probably too obscure for the average brony artist, however (and my own drawing/photoshop/paint skills are pretty crap). 

In this case, of course, it's F-14s because that's what the Blue Angels fly, and the Wonderbolts take their colors from them.

Their name is based off the Thunderbirds, but the blue and yellow color scheme comes from the Blue Angels. They're an amalglam of the two (which explains why they're 20% cooler than most other ponies).

Yes, you are correct.  I meant F/A-18, and typed F-14 absentmindedly. Blame EternalAmbiguity.

I'm actually kind of dreading Luna's first appearance in Season 2. You just know that there's no way the writers can ever live up to the fanon the Lunar Republicans have built up around her (which, since she had about fifteen seconds of screentime and one line in Friendship is Magic Pt. 2, has been created entirely from scratch). Can't imagine the amount of rage that will be had on Ponychan and elsewhere.
