I thought again about the Twitter Mites, here's my thought. In the scenario Luna's made, one and only one person can operate said twitter-removing machine. Without the proper mark, the machinery won't work. The Mark seems to be very rare. I'm gonna say nuu. :/ Otherwise, Equestria would be screwed, unless they want to pull a Bats! again or something.

So.. no one else is wondering "If Luna's dream walking is so prevalent in order for Pony's to come to terms with their anxieties, why aren't the ponies who came after her banishment and prior to her return more messed up?" ... I mean either Luna is messing with people just for kicks under the guise of helping, or they don't really need her messing with them in the first place.

This is likely a case that the writers hadn't filled in that blank or thought of it. I don't think they'd necessarily be more messed up as a whole, though her absence is bound to leave unhappy stories. It's not like the citizens of Equestria are helpless. ¯\(°_o)/¯ For Luna, I'd suspect it's more like helpful nudging through horrific mental invasion. What's the worst that could happen?

It's a joke text right? I mean take a look at the grammar. if this was a professional team I wouldn't expect the grammar to be so... fragmented. It doesn't conform readily to standard or normal conventions of mistakes made by foreigners all the time. Nor does it subside as simply misspellings. Plus there are small elements of Netspeak worked through out the text that are consistent through out. If you are serious about being concerned about it being real and not just joking(i'm kinda sleepy right now so i can't tell too well):  I'd have to say this can be verified as a hoax and we've nothing to worry about, mainly because the netspeak embedded below "Amy Pascals" header.

I can't see why they'd fake the emails, for this specifically. They could have easily gone with anything else to get more hype, but faked MLP movie info instead? Just why?

I don't know for sure but as I said the text by amy pascal is more remnicient of net speak varieties of english than anything one would expect to see in a professional setting. Like for example:

mainly what I was looking at was the instability in capitalization which is consitent through out though I point to more prominent instances and the almost complete lack of punctuation outside of ellipses and question marks.

which to me strikes as particularly odd since it seems to deviate from the already excessively fragmented conversation, that said though it is excessively fragmented so who the hell knows what she means there. 

 

Though the elements of netspeak I thought were there aren't as prominent as they appeared earlier this morning (i think i may have been hallucinating I had just finished pulling an all nighter on my paper which incidentally was about netspeak and the morphology of lol, and ok. sooooooooooo, it was fun I think there's a quote or two from our thread in the data somewhere actually old old old quotes no names mentioned but i think its one of ours (data was gathered from Dakka Dakka and the BSN Lolcatbible and GLOWBE and COCA corpora))... But yeah definitely not as consistent as I thought they were this morning on a second look. Additionally on widening the scope it does appear to be the case that it could be pascal legit, as the patterns here are consistent with other messages she sends out.

I mean personally i could believe that someone tried to sneak in a joke/hoax for the brony community at some point simply because i'm willing to bet these folks at wikileaks are very much like any other netizen and enjoys doing crazy shenangians for teh lulz. But yeah now that i'm not like passed out and dying of paper overdoes and I had a little time to widen the sprectrum It seems more convincing that it was once a legit idea. hopefully it died off cause it sounds kinda bad. But then that could just be apparently Pascal's terribley attrocious writing style. Which is almost as  scary as the show she describes.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. Honestly, we haven't seen that much of Tank/RD in previous episodes besides May The Best Pet Win. I'm hoping they hammer in more of a reason for how they've been closer than what we've seen.
