If it weren't for S5, I may have thought such a thing impossible. I was pleasantly surprised by how the end of

was handled, and they may go this route again. I'd like it.

May not have been wowed by the story, but they really nailed the visual gags in the last episode. The Cloudsdale Factory scene was one of the more impressive bits.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. Honestly, we haven't seen that much of Tank/RD in previous episodes besides May The Best Pet Win. I'm hoping they hammer in more of a reason for how they've been closer than what we've seen.

Looks like you were right, the unexplained closeness of Dash and her pet was much worse than Twilight's relationship with Shining Armor in Season 2.

One of the few bits in MLP with great potential in terms of narrative is a mark of skill literally being etched onto your skin. Bloom and Gloom took a deceptively simplistic approach to "Cutie Mark Philosophy".

In short, Luna telling Apple Bloom that she's overthinking things.

A common regret among both their world and ours is the anxiety of trying to be what you think others want you to be, instead of merely being yourself. It's a theme that fits perfectly for the episode, yet resonates far greater than most of the CMC episodes. One of my own personal missteps in college was precisely the same mistake they made, so I can empathize.

the true horror of that episode is, applebloom was so destroyed by getting those subpar cutiemarks, but what does that mean for the ponies who have their worst nightmares come true?
