there was a new episode. Yaks are jerks.

I give the new episode a 6/10. Pinkie pie is being pinkie pie and she parties like pinkie does. But the episode doesnt have that same emotional resolution as the first 3 seasons had. Maybe its because they dont write a moral to their episodes anymore and its become more episodic. I wish they went back to something similar, where each episode teaches you a lesson about friendship instead of what party pinkie is planning.

all that talk of War with the Yaks made me wonder, who would be crazy enough to even attack Equestria?

 

1.) 2 Goddess that literally control night and day, one of which we know can enter dreams causing nightmares, control the weather causing possible storms, shapeshift, and can animate objects bringing them to life.

 

2.) 1/3rd of the population has magic ranging from telekinesis to materialization. Some even go to school to learn a wider range of spells than most. Hell for all we know they could walk into a library a get a book of attack magic.

 

3.) 1/3rd of the population can fly, and are descended from a warrior tribe, aerial combat, and bombing runs must be pretty easier for ponies who can literally hide in on stand on clouds.

 

4.) 1/3rd of the population on average seem to possess above average strength disproportionate to their size. All of which seem to have a fair bit to speed to, though some more than others when it comes to galloping. Even still a smaller percentage have out right Super Strength (Big Mac and Maud Pie being to of the known cases.) If Maud enters the war effort one boulder toss into the warring countries territory and thats a wrap. 

 

5.) They have the Lord of Chaos on their side.

 

6.) They have mythical creatures as wardens and prisoners.

 

7.) The collective might of the 4 current princesses is equal to the collective magical power of all their kingdoms combined. 

 

What did the Yaks or any other non pony race even expect to do against such a force? If not for their penchant for being nonaggressive or at least tolerant of others, I don't see how they couldn't just take over the rest of the world.

1. Maybe their are yak gods that we dont know of

 

2. Equestria might have a lot of enemy, this might be a Dalek vs the Doctor scenario where everyone is too scared to attack FIRST. but when someone does, they all attack.

 

3. Discord is a Chaos demigod, his powers are tied to the most chaos, ergo, he will most likely troll both sides as long as his waifu fluttershy doesnt crack the obedience whip.

 

4. Equestria's population is relatively small and is based around friendship and love, not exactly a war-minded race.

 

5. In a world where magic is common, it would be equally common for things to evolve in a way to resist magic.

 

6. the ponyverse is riddled with mythical creatures and not all of them are controlled by godprincess Luna and Celestia.

 

7. its been shown that there are some things that can rival the magic of friendship, and incrementally together they can easily overcome the horse gods of friendship.
