i LOVE rarity's voice actress, the way she just belts out herr lines is amazing. Pinkie pie is pretty cool too, she reminds me that we dont have to be unhhappy. But most people dont understand this and would rather wallow in their own cesspools of cynicism and self-purpetuated despair.

I heard tara strong did the voice for twilight sparkle, you should see her comic-con videos of this year on youtube. When the generation at the cusp of replacing the old guard erupts in blinding ovation, you know you've done something right.

Ah, "Friendship is Magic". I have yet to see more than a few seconds of this program despite always being awake when it airs on the Hub. It has become something of a "Harry Potter" franchise to me. One of those properties that is so popular, with so many passionate fans, that any interest has been bled out of me.

This always occurs with any insanely popular license aimed at a young audience. Call it one of my quirks.

Even more so.  Applejack becomes obsessed with helping every single pony in Ponyville to the point of extreme exhaustion. Rainbow Dash becomes afraid of the losing to the point that she wont compete in a competition that she always wanted to compete in. Pinkie Pink straight up goes insane after her friends don't attend one of her parties. She goes so off the deep end that she starts to believe her friends don't like her anymore and starts talking to inanimate objects. Rarity loses all sense of self worth after a famous fashion designer tells her that her designs are complete garbage. Twilight Sprinkle at one time becomes obsessive of one of Pinkie Pie's many eccentricities to the point of following her and turning into Rapidash (I am not sh*tting you). Also there is another example when she tell the citizens of Ponyville to build a brand new town. Not Fluttershy is just straight up CRAZY in all caps. example

Since I plan to watch this show in the near future and form my own opinions, I will refrain from following your link for now.

While some of the behavior you describe can be construed as dangerously obsessive or volatile, it should also be taken in context of the program. The show is aimed at girls. From your brief descriptions alone I can tell those behaviors are exaggerated to teach basic lessons: learning to allow others to help you, and to watch for your own well being as well; taking joy from your experiences without obsessing over the outcome; and remembering that just because your friends cannot always pay attention to you, does not mean they do not care.

I could go on. Maybe it seems insane taken in a rational, adult context, but considering the show is not a character study of the human condition, I will have to disagree.
