Whenever a pony fails in an area that should be covered under their special talent, they seem to lose their marbles. Examples of this include Applejack being unable to harvest all of her apples in "Applebucking Season" Rarity's dresses not impressing Hoity Toirty in "Suited for Success" Pinkie Pie thinking that her firends don't like her party in "Party of One" and Fluttershy being rejected by the animals in "Best Night Ever".

That would ruin the idea that Luna is super special. If she was part of the main cast, she wouldn't have the opinions of her that she has now.

id like to see luna around more often, being alone for a thousaand years must make her ffull of sad.

now i cant help imagine princess celestia giving twilight's letters for luna to read. this entire time, luna's been twi's secret penpal. or something. :wizard:magic.
