Actually, it kind of makes sense if you think about it. Rainbow probably has too much respect for the Wonderbolts to go around dressed as one of them (Scootaloo probably will, though, since it's probably seen as okay for a kid - assuming she doesn't go as RD, of course). And since it's "Nightmare Night", the Shadowbolts are more fitting anyways.

Though it'll probably cause some awkwardness with Luna...

Seriously they don't even look like the characters. They look like they just got a template and changed up the colours. The ads for them don't help either:pinched:, I feel like throwing something at the screen when they come on.
They just need to release a brony version of all the toys doing epic poses or something and also (highly unlikely) a toy for all the major background ponies(Lyra, Bon Bon, Colgate,Photo FInish. Octavia, DJ PON-3 etc,)

EQD actually posted a response to a question to a Hasbro employee at the NYCC.

"I talked to one of the guys at Hasbro (a Hasbrony?) about the Brony phenomenon. He said their official policy is “we don’t get it, but we love it.” He confirmed my suspicion that they are careful NOT to cater to Bronies with the production of the show or the official merchandise, because it would probably have the opposite effect and drive them away. What they are obsessed with is the show which Hasbro thought it was making for little girls. To alter course now, would likely alienate both core audiences. It was a very enlightening conversation that got me thinking about what happens when you create something and put it out there for mass consumption. See, with the show that reasoning is perfectly sound (although I think this season thus far has proven they're not afraid to make the occasional nod towards the older fandom). It's current form is what got us all hooked, and there's no need to change it. But I think when they apply that same logic to merchandise, they're doing themselves a disservice and perhaps missing the trees for the forest.

Some bronies do buy the merch now, sure, but there's a whole lot more that don't. And the way the licensed welovefine shirts and the custom ponies and plushies and whathaveyou are doing business suggests to me that there's a market there with huge demand and very little supply that Hasbro could make a damned tidy profit tapping into.

Our demographic, Males 16-40, is probably the most valuable one in the world, with a whole lot of disposable income that we clearly wouldn't mind dropping on ponies if Hasbro would make merchandise that, while perhaps not specifically designed for us, certainly has greater appeal. And the primary demographic will still buy them too, unless I've dramatically overstated the appeal plushies and plastic pony figures have amongst girls.

You know what should happen guys and gals? Hasbro should recall all the current MLP toys, put them into a giant mound and Rainbow Dash can Sonic Rain Nuke the whole lot. Problem Solved, and then they can actually make some accurate character based toys and get rid of that dumbed down rubbish they're passing off as FiM merchandise. We deserve better than this.

this reminds me, i made a custom map on sims3 ambitions and added the mane 6 as an npc household. IT WAS GLORIOUS. Oh, and Rainbowdash had a boyfriend by the 3rd day....And the dude ended up moving in. Might say something about the real rainbow.

Funny thing though, I wanted to be bffs with Pinkamena, but i ended up being Rarity's version of Spike, in a platonic way.
