That was good. After how the timid sad Luna had become the sort-of standard fanon personality for her (that or prankster Luna), the one she actually got caught me off guard and actually made it a bit more awesome. And she still switched between badass royal Luna and awkward adorkable Luna, so perhaps the fanboy rage will not be as severe as I initially thought.
I think most of us figured from the beginning that the episode would be about Twilight trying to help Luna rehabilitate her image, but it was pretty sweet anyways. And the way Twilight kept getting frustrated that nobody recognized her costume ("I reckon you must be a country music singer!") and then got excited when Luna did was freaking adorable.
About my only complaint is not enough Rainbow Dash, after giving her that insanely badass Shadowbolt costume she only shows up for what, three scenes? But that's just me being a hypocritical fanboy. Twilight was enough in this one.
Oh, and that's what, the third episode now where Pinkie being Pinkie has made things worse for everybody?
