Look, guys, this is getting tedious. I keep passing down to you, in my infinite wisdom, the knowledge of who the best ponies are, and you keep dithering on in darkness.

Rainbow Dash = Twilight Sparkle > Applejack > Rarity > Fluttershy > Pinkie Pie.

With Mac and the 'Bolts as best side ponies and Celestia as best princess.

EDIT: It occurs to me I failed to use the Traditional Royal Canterlot Voice in this post...ah well.

I've only watched 6 episodes, but I'm going to have to give my vote to Fluttershy, she's just so cute.

Being Equestria, they are all best pony, of course, those are just my personal favourites, and the ones I can relate to most in order.

Fave background would be Derpy and Lyra while MY FAVOURITE PRINCESS IS CELESTIA.

I'm the same way, though, Dash and Twi are my favorites because I can identify the most with them. Funnily enough, I think I actually have more negative personality traits in common with Rainbow than I do positive.  

Best background ponies are Colgate and Lyra.

Yeah, she can be. But that's why I love her. <3

'Sides, all the ponies have their moments of character failings. Rarity in Sonic Rainboom, Pinkie in Party of One/Luna Eclipsed/Green Isn't Your Color/Over a Barrel, AJ in Applebuck Season, and so on and so forth. It's what makes relatable and more like actual characters and not cardboard cutouts.
