'Sides, all the ponies have their moments of character failings. Rarity in Sonic Rainboom, Pinkie in Party of One/Luna Eclipsed/Green Isn't Your Color/Over a Barrel, AJ in Applebuck Season, and so on and so forth. It's what makes relatable and more like actual characters and not cardboard cutouts.
Ya but Dash is like that for 50% of the episodes lol.

Speaking of favorite ponies...
I love Rainbow Dash because she reminds me of a younger me. (Competitive, wanting to win the ladehs over, being a tomboy, being a goddamn RAINBOW, etc...) Fluttershy is another favorite, because her shyness is adorable and her ways with animals. Rarity would be my least favorite, I don't appreciate her selfishness and whatnot.

Lets not debate Dash's sexual preference, the creators will likely never say so its irrelevant, not that it should matter.
I dislike her because of how she behaves, not what she is, I love the character design as I said. Also indeed Pinkie Pie is probably one of the most entertaining ponies, a definite necessity to the show.

See, we're going to have to disagree there, because half the time Pinkie isn't (to me) entertaining at all. Just annoying.
Not to mention extradinarily prone at making things worse for everyone else with her antics (as in Luna Eclipsed, Over A Barrell, and Green Isn't Your Color).

Pinkie is the random variable character, the super unrealistic and out there pony, generally only used to produce situations that need resolution, never intentially though. That and she is like meme making machine.
