Applebloom is being so emo today...

 Hokay, so, as I said on the SU, Apple Bloom has temporarily become the most adorable thing in the show. "Mah sister's speaking in fancy!"  And Big Lebowski references all over the place. Also, I can't have been the only one to think her first cutie mark looked like the Portal symbol, right? 

Nice to see Zecora getting much more screen time this season. Also, first on-screen use of "Big Mac"!

Scoots seems to be using her wings a lot more than in Season 1. There were at least several instances where she sort of hovered in place using them. Nice indication that time is passing and they're growing up on the FiM team's part. 

I wonder if Twilight getting the quick Rarity hairdo is a reference on the team's part to Hasbro's tendency to just use recolors of the main six for all the toys. Or else the mash-ups that fans like to draw (e.g. Appledash, Rainbowshy). 

On the whole, Season 2 continues the trend of being a step up from Season 1. About my only complaint, yet again, is that Dash showed up for about three seconds, and the same for Rarity, and Fluttershy was nowhere to be found. I like that not being forced to use Twilight for all the letters allows for more focused episodes, but I would like to see them utilizing all of the mane six more often. 

Still, she is getting two episodes in a row that are focused on her, so I can live with it.

Also, did anybody else notice that some of AB's cutie marks were callbacks to previous episodes? I remember tiger taming being specifically mentioned in The Show Stoppers.

I found it a little disturbing how the afflicted pony is compelled to enact whatever their artificial talent is. The possibilities for grimdark fics are boundless.

Zecora was the best character in this one IMO^_^, well Pinkie was second best with her confession. 6 cakes really? I'm susrprised she doesn't have diabetes yet:lol:
I lost it whe AppleBloom started speaking French and the background ponies wearing hazmat suits was a nice touch:P
