Don't make Cheerilee whip out her pimp hat.
Cheerilee must really love her vegtables.
Also, was that the longest scene she's ever had? She and Zecora seem to be leading the pack of incidental Season 1 characters in having increased roles in Season 2.
Now if only they'd do the same for Mac. And maybe the named Wonderbolts. And give Scratch another appearance (Octavia was at the garden party in Sweet and Elite).

Second highest rated comment(as of right now) is a great one. I quote-
"I really love this scene. It shows that she already knew about his crush, but she knows she'll never be able to return his love and break his poor little heart. They're different species, they have different lifestyles, and Spike will live much, much longer than Rarity. So she just decides to let him keep his crush for a long as possible, knowing he'll be the happiest with his unrequited love."
and then this is perfect. I lawl at this person's denial of the obvious.

The amount of damage control coming out since this scene has been hilarious.
I never knew Rarity x Spike was such a hated ship until now. Probably because it's always been a smaller, core ship than any of the others really.
Then BAM. This scene happens, Rarity x Spike fans rejoice, and then people like you come out and begin screaming that your interpretation of the scene is the only correct one: Rarity disowning Spike.
You're not a RariJack shipper are you?"
Another good quote-
"I prefer what I think is the current dynamic: with Rarity not saying no to avoid Spike getting depressed from rejection long enough so that he'll grow out of his childhood crush. That's actually a useful lesson for kids to learn, but how they'll deliver it (if they even choose to deliver it) is a question worth asking.I mostly feel like that's what's happening because I've been in similar cases (one where I was the Spike and another as the Rarity). Good stuff to learn."

I'm afraid that people will just turn to shipping Spike with the CMC instead, if he ever officially grows out of his crush on Rarity (who's, well, basically a cougar relative to him).
I already see quite a bit of Spikebloom stuff, actually. Which has all sorts of concentrated adorable, and they are a lot closer in age (presumably), but it doesn't really resolve the fundamental biological issues.
